You should have kept it dark, the comedic relief is kinda just thrown in there, is extremely out of place, and destroys the mood.  Im just worried that itll turn into a preachy "humans are all evil, twisted creatures by nature, and dont deserve to live" fic that I've seen many times.  Nobody appreciates that your bodies dont notice we are out of the stone age, where the biggest asshole survives.  

All of that being said, its extremely well written, keep up the good work!

I'd like to thank all of you guys for reading this story, especially those of you who offered any concerns or ideas; it means a lot to me.   You have no idea how badly I thought this story would fail.  For fair warning, it might take a while before Act II start.  Like I said before, I didn't expect so many people to read this, so I never put that much thought into anything after this Act.   I'm going to try and make an outline for the remainder of the story, but I'll try to stay flexible for any suggestions and offers that you guys have.  So, with all that being said:

Sweet chapter, wonder if Hunter is going to stick around or just run when he does have his strength back. Plus, I'm sure November is going to be a busy month for everyone that writes pony fiction. What, with Season 3 coming out on the tenth and all the material that it will bring.

Alright, this has absolutely nothing to do with the story, but I'm curious about something and would like to know your response.  When you're reading a Human in Equestria story, what would be an immediate deal breaker to you (grammar and whatnots of the such excluded)?  What could a human bring to Equestria that he or she shouldn't bring; such as guns, music players, motorized vehicles, or any other random et cetera that is obviously human?  What could happen to him or her that would just be so unrealistic that would cause you to dislike it; such as random magical powers, sprouting wings, or something like that?

I'm good with a person bringing anything that they have on them to Equestria. My biggest pet peeve for HiE stories are when the human tends to just abandon their life on Earth. Other than that I'm good with whatever the author writes as long as it makes sense.  Anyway's enjoying the story and I lol'ed when Redheart got clonked over the head with the frying pan. Its funny that no matter what the story is, the frying pan is the number one choice for rendering characters unconscious.

Internet access or cell phone service without a good explanation for why they are still working. The devices themselves would work until their batteries die, but they shouldn't have service since there's no network.

I think the only two I've seen that kind of work both used crossovers with other universes - Memoirs of a Reality Jumper had a computer set up by Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic from Marvel Comics, who does a lot of work on inter-dimensional technology) and the other used the chips that The Doctor puts in companions cell phones to let them call across time and space (don't remember the fic itself, unfortunately).

Thanks guys for the feedback.  It's nice to look at things from another's point of view.   I'll try to not disappoint.  To be honest though, I was slightly surprised at the lack of people saying guns.  Having a gun just seems to throw everything off for me.  But hey, that's just me.  Once again, thanks reading!

Alright, *cracks knuckles*, let's see just how well I can do this.

I was hoping that I explained the situation a bit better in the story, but hopefully this can clear some things up.  Fluttershy wants to tell the others that Hunter isn't a bad guy, but is a bit too timid to raise her voice.  I don't recall which episode(s) I remember seeing it in, but I recalled Fluttershy trying to tell her friends and the other ponies something, but they usually blew off her warnings until somebody else said the same thing only louder.  Lyra is the most active in trying to prove Hunter's goodness; there are some occasions when she sets up small "rallies" and tries to convince the crowds, but, like Lily, Rose, and Daisy said, they think she's crazy.  Zecora lives in the forest, so I figured she doesn't go into town very often, which would be a hindrance on her part.

Miss Cheerilee and the school foals (with the exception of Diamond Tiara, Snips, Snails, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders) probably didn't see Hunter as saving them from the wolves but rather just attacking the wolves for no reason; that is; if they weren't too busy running to notice him.  Plus, it was Zecora who herded them to safety while Hunter kept the wolves busy.  The six foals who followed him definitely believe that he is a good guy, but their kids.  I'm using the scenario that the adults or more "mature" ponies are just thinking that they're making up stories.  I'll be honest, if my little brother told me that the local nutcase was actually sane, I'd probably scold him for hanging out with the guy instead of listen to his reasoning.

I don't have a problem with a character having a gun if there's a reason they'd have it with them (On duty military/police, someone hunting, etc). In Equestria, they don't seem like they'd be as useful as you'd expect. They aren't going to have much reason to shoot at ponies and a lot of the creatures seen in the show or speculated to exist, like dragons or an Ursa, can probably take a bullet without any real effect on them. Combine that with limited ammo and a knife would be a lot more useful since it can't run out and has other functions besides combat.

Define "innocent". From their point of view, they weren't very clear on whether he shared their views on morality in the first place and, indeed, one of his foremost reactions was to attempt to chuck one of the ponies to death in retaliation.  The reason why we feel injustice in this situation is precisely because we know of the protagonist's relative moral decency whereas most of the ponies in question do not and would be justified in being cautious with an organism completely alien to their knowledge.

Do keep in mind they still think he's said harmful, violent and potentially fatal-to-ponies creature that would do bad things to them unless he was taken care of.  If we had some version of the thing come over to our planet, I'd similarly cheerfully let the army firebomb the small island it was on to make sure it dies.  Regardless of whether or not some toddlers vouched for its niceness after it'd butchered a few people.

Anyway, ponies.  Yeah, I would totally be there.  But then, I'm so hyper-adaptable I'm practically beyond human comprehension as it is.  Hell, I went down to Argentina so for no other reason than to go to this zoo where they let you walk with the lions and tigers, which was something I'd always wanted to do.  It was great!  Need to do that again when I save up the money.  

I suppose it helps to be as crazy and yet in total control as I am of myself.  I can accept anything that happens and just adapt.  It's so pre-conditioned it's now a reflex.  It doesn't mean I have to always like what's going on (especially when it's something absolutely horrible that will cause the end of the world), I just quickly make the best of my situation and move on with life.  

Now, that's assuming that it's show canon Equestria and not one of the Darkquestrias of death and mutilation and torture where the dragons and griffons like to eat ponies and Discord likes to torment and eat ponies and Nightmare Moon is super-crazy... and eats ponies.  And Pinkie Pie locks ponies in her basement to... well, you can see where this is going by now.  

In closing, raspberry preserves are awesome.  

While not automatically accepting him, I think this story has taken it too far in the OTHER direction.

There's one I'm reading now which rides comfortably in the happy medium.  Some ponies are curious, some are open, some are frightened...

And some actually remembered their lesson from the encounter with Zecora to 'not judge by the cover of the book', which I think the Mane 6 at least would act accordingly by.

Chapter 7 note:  When the voices in your head openly claim to be you, that's usually a very good sign that they're actually the demons that call themselves 'Legion', and you should get an exorcism, like, pronto.  

I know all the voices in my head.  They never say things like that.  They are very smart and logical and not psycho.

*headdesks in Chapter 8*  And of course Discord can reach out from his statue prison and enter his mind, because blah.  Oh god I HATE it when I see that!  Do none of you understand the concept of a magical SEAL?!  It means NO WAY TO DO ANYTHING.

It is one of the most annoying tropes in this entire fanfiction genre.

Also, no matter how hard you swing a butterfly net, it's not going to do anything but sting your opponent a bit and piss them off.  I know this for a fact...  They're completely useless in combat.  Unless he uses his magical human superpowers to swing it at over 200mph, it doesn't have enough mass to build up appreciable inertia.  

I can see a LOT going wrong during Nightmare Night. At least Luna will be there.
