pretty cool that spike is lunas boyfriend. lolz

:moustache: I love this story, it is very soothing. Just like an story to make you sleep. And the best part, Celestia is the reader and an character... :trollestia:

78258 Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This is actually lovely. I only saw one mistake:

He howl of love pierced the otherwise silent night.

I assume you meant 'his'

Otherwise, I loved reading this. I've read stories ten times as long that weren't half as good. Looking forward to seeing more, if you're writing anything else in the future. 4.5 stars!

this story pissed me off (that's probablly because i'm up at 3 in the moring though)
the twist at the end with spike took too long
anyways, here's mah read

WE NEED A SEQUEL!!:fluttershbad::fluttershysad:
Good tragic love story.

That was a interesting story, I only hope you continue it and show them slowly fall in love again. :moustache:

Cant...stop...shedding...manly...tears
bravo Mr. author!
will there be a sequel in the works?

Wonderful fairy tale, though I think the last paragraph hurts it overall. Something less direct might have worked better for me.

And the Sun, sensing Mun'Thul's life had ended, came to the grove to honor and mourn him and, through him, the sister she yet loved dearly. But she had scarcely laid her hoof upon the remains of the great dragon before a gentle wind stirred, and she felt the flesh before her begin to fall to ash; and the wind grew, and with it took the ash, now glowing against the darkness in the color of the gems he had long before scattered in the sky; and the Sun saw that he was gone, but where he had lain, small within the vast space he had left, was an egg, mottled purple just visible against the bare ground in the fading glow.

The Sun took the egg with her, and kept it, though it never hatched. There are those who say it never will, that it is dead, now no more than a curious stone; its caretaker, however, maintains it merely sleeps, awaiting a time when it may wake to see the love once lost restored, and to again feel the cool breeze of the night catch his wings as he roars their love to the world.

I liked the story very much and I’m hoping for a sequel to read!

Wished there could be a sequel with Spike and Luna finding out and be together again like all those years ago.
