Wisher

I like to quote Jaden Smith in my works.

E
Source

Faraway lands bathed in peace.
A human wishing for an escape.

This is their meeting. The moment of reflection. Of thinking back, and thinking forward. Of choice.

What awaits beyond, when you leave all you can imagine behind?

Huge thanks to Meeester, tajjetone and plainoasis for proofreading and editing this story

Unexpectedly moving, and a worthwhile reminder that not everything in this world is sunshine and cupcakes. Well done.

This was good, and I mean really good! The way you described the scenery and the way the characters spoke to each other was done in an amazing fashion. I look forward to reading any other stories you decide to write!

I agree with Dusty Sage. The morals are incredibly deep and satisfyingly moving, and furthermore contains wonderful imagery. I salute you Wisher, we need more stories like this.

Well it seems my worries were unfounded.

Let's see if this story starts a new genre of adventure fics. :moustache:

Bravo my good writer, bravo :moustache:

Beautiful. I honestly can't compare this to any other HiE. It's so unique!

1329140 Oh but your worries weren't unfounded at all! It was you who gave me the idea of shortening the beginning of the story, and for that, I'm in your debt. I think the long version would have not gone down so well. Not that it's genre-defining or anything :rainbowlaugh:

To all the people who read and favorited this story, thank you all so much  And thanks a ton to all the people who left these nice comments. I'm very glad to know you found it 'moving', because that was precisely the point.

dang! this was awesome, really good HiE :moustache:

This needs more views. I will be sharing it with my fellow bronies.

This was a really beautiful story.

"I believe that it is here, in the secrecy of the night, that we face our past and make our choices most true. Therein lies its true beauty."

And in the night is the only time that we can face the things we have yet to decide upon for the future. Dreams hold power, and those to say otherwise have yet to experience choices brought upon them in waking and only to solve in the darkness of our subconscious.

If you are confused I took the aspect from waking to sleeping and not just night itself.

awe inspiring. a great life lesson.

Why fear death, or pity those who have left us?

"Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, and, above all, those who live without love."
-- Albus Dumbledore (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)
