Scootaloo has the ultimate plan to get out of school, if she can only fool her mom. Sure, she might be found out if her mother freaks and takes her to the hospital, but that’s about the worst that could happen, right?
Scootaloo is best cancer patient.

Hey, everyone. OtterMatt here. Just for the record, I’m not coming back to FimFic. Not ever. I’m sorry to say it, but my life has moved on, as it were, and writing just isn’t a part of it anymore. That being said, I love these stories of mine very much. There’s a lot of myself that I put into them, and at least a couple people have told me that these stories meant a lot to them as well. So, for those people, and for anyone else who enjoys my work in the future, I’m charging my friend Spabble here with curating my completed stories. Thank you all for the love, the faves, and the support as I grew and learned. Keep doing what you love, and the best of luck to you all.

Excellent.

A relatively funny story, a pity the comedy tag, and lack of sad/tragedy kind of gives it away.

Brilliant my friend, bravo, had me going for a sec!

You should write something else like this, I laughed a bit too hard at 2:30 in the mornin! :rainbowlaugh:

Of all the ways to get back at a kid, pretending she has cancer has GOT to be in the bottom five.

This was good. The only thing I think could have improved it would have been to give specific examples of Scoots moms craziness, instead of scoots just saying 'my moms nuts' and moving on. Also, her little confession had some odd word choices, but she'd your character so what do I know?

Also, a few parts made me grin a bit more than others, like:
“But you took, like, ten x-rays!”
“We only put film in for the one. Waste not, even for lab tech practice.”

So they just blasted her with radiation for shits 'n giggles? I suppose that's technically a good way to give her bone cancer so they can have an actual tragic prank.

So in conclusion, beuno.

You should know, you were to blame for the horrific pun. :derpytongue2:

I wrote it at midnight, you better believe I was laughing a bit too hard myself when I did!

Thanks for reading guys! I know it's a low blow, but frankly, it's just supposed to be a stupid, funny quick-fic. I wouldn't read too much into it, but that's just me. Personally, I can almost see my own dad doing something like this to me when I was a kid, and he WAS my doctor! :rainbowlaugh:

I would overuse that satire tag if it existed...

Anyways, that was a great story.

Good stuff mate, had me laughing for a while.

That was great.:rainbowlaugh: You see Scoots, Granny Smith isn't the only one who's awesome disguised as crazy.:rainbowwild:

Just the other day a friend of mine was complaining because a story gave Scootaloo terminal cancer. I should link him this, ought to cheer him up. :scootangel:

This was pretty much written as a response to the fandom's penchant for making Scootaloo such a disaster-magnet, hence the non-existent "satire" tag.
Glad you enjoyed!

This was one of the funniest feel-good short stories I've read in awhile. This story is Scoot-approved. :scootangel:

??? why is this on updated story?

1174989
It isn't, near as I can tell. It's a new one.

She will probably contract cancer from the X-rays. Sad.

I enjoyed it

have a moustache :moustache:

If you pull out your feathers, you won't be able to....
*bad poker face*

That was most amusing. Well played, mother. Well played.

For the record, he DID link it to me. And I enjoyed it. A lot, in fact.

Holy Buck! NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
This story is Good, and you should feel Good!

Then I am proud to be the Igor to your Dr Frankenstein. And again, wellllll done masssster.

I was prepared to hate this. Unfortunately, it's too diamond-doggone funny. (Satire tag? Yes, please.)

1177704
Thank you so much! That kind of praise means a lot to me.

Where have I heard that title before?
*looks at CoolStoryBrony's latest blog*
Oh.
Thats where.
xD

In point of fact, from the one before it, right here.
They were both inspired by the same insane suggestion, but they really have no relation whatsoever. The pun was just too damn awful to pass up.

A Scootaloo story that both involves her parents and doesn't have her being abused or orphaned!? :derpyderp1: I didn't think those existed! :pinkiehappy:

Great Story!

I'm actually on three separate government watch lists now because of it. :twilightoops:

It needs some layout work; the text is a bit bunched up. But other than that...

The d'awws...you have them. A neat little idea that could come up in an episode (and actually has, I suppose), turned into a mother/daughter moment that does provoke some thought. This gets a thumbs up from me.

I'm trying to figure out how the changes to FiMFic's code are affecting the spacings. I know it's more than a single space, so I went with it. Personally, adding another space between paragraphs fits a long story more, it just makes this one look silly, like a midget wearing an enormous top hat.

I wondered if there be a sequel to this. Good work.

1222735
No sequel, just a silly one-shot.

My heart; what have you done?:fluttercry:

OH GOD, I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING! :rainbowlaugh:

I knew it! Scootaloo didn't have an illness :ajsmug:

Okay, I thought Scootaloo had an illness. :pinkiesad2:

“Honestly, rainbow tongue? Granny Smith invented that trick ages ago. We’ve all eaten zap apple jam, Scoots.”

Wait a minute. I thought that when Granny Smith discovered zap apples she was already a mare? Surely too old to pretend to be sick.

2232971 << didn't even read the description of the story. Not even once.

Scootaleukemia?

You are a GOD for that name :rainbowlaugh:
