The Dragonborn was a hero amidst the people of Skyrim. He had dealt with all manner of atrocities, falmer and bandits, undead and dragons, nothing had been able to stand in his way. But when a necromancer's spell throws him into a very mysterious and unknown land, he finds himself, for the first time in his life, overwhelmed. Now he must fight for friendships old and new, but in Equestria, nothing is black and white, and nothing is as it seems...

"Each event is proceeded by Prophecy
But without the Hero there can be no event."

Quick Note

This character is based somewhat off my actual Skyrim character, a level sixty-something khajiit named Dar'Jzir (In this his name will be Do'Jzir). Feel free to like and dislike on your opinion and please leave constructive (keyword being constructive) criticism in the comments.

Because I've been asked this about twenty times, updating will be very bloody sporadic. Do not expect constant updates, I simply don't have the time to write that much. Sorry. Also, if you are following this, please for Celestia's sake check up on my blog posts. I use them to ask important questions and the more help I get the faster I can toss chapters out.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading it, thanks.

This one enjoys this story!
Tracked.:pinkiehappy:

Elesweyr is the khajiit homeland. Valenwood is the woodelf one. Also: poor ending. Or is it? O_o

1182177
It isn't over. That's kinda why it's in the incomplete category. And by chance, did I say Valenwood was the khajiit homeland? I don't really remember. If I did, then my apologies. I haven't really played an Elder Scrolls game in a few weeks. Actually, did I even say mention those places? I don't remember.

1181780
Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Khajiit! The most badass a cat can get!

i would prefer if the dude was a argonian because argonians are fucking awesome but kajiit are cool too so keep up the story

1182980
Agreed. Khajiit have almost always been my favorite of all the races in the series (save for Oblivion's khajiits, they were ugly as death in that one).
1183074
Argonians are pretty cool, but I kinda like khajiits more. It's just a matter of preference I guess.

YES FINALLY LONGER CHAPTER'S THANK CELESTIA

I love khajits to be honest they are one of the best classes you can pick for up close battles

When will the next chapter be up just for curious' sake

1183273
1183487

To respond to all of those, (AHEM)
1. Yep, long chapters, and three of them. Yay.
2. As I said previously, khajiit are my favorite race, but I generally always use them, no matter what play type I choose (except for in Oblivion). This character was actually a thief in the beginning of my game, but I got really bored of one hit KO-ing dragons, so I switched out those daggers for katanas.
3. No idea. I'm going to do the same I did with this and release several at a time, maybe three or two. It takes me about three hours total to write one, not counting proofreading/editing/general laziness. To be honest I am notorious for procrastinating, to the point where I completely forget to do them at all. I wouldn't bet on it, but you may see them sometime this next week. Hopefully. Maybe.

Aww that stinks I really like this one and no see it's only original if you suck ass and ruin the whole entire idea of the dragon born but you did good with this so it is very original *not in a sarcastic voice*

1183540
Don't worry, I'm not ditching this fic. You will see an update, I promise you. And thanks for the assessment, it means a lot to me.

It's all good I honestly enjoy talking with the authers of a story also the fus ro doesn't generally send any type of enemy flying it just makes them stumble longer he would need to use fus ro da

I liked the khajits the most for their increased unarmed damage/night eye.

I would also have thought that face full of fire/ice breath dragon shout would have worked wonders on the general.

1183721
I like khajiits simply because of how creative and original they are (sort of). There are a thousand fantasy games where you can play as dark elves, nordic humans, wood elves, and whatnot, it's fantasy 101, but there are very very few where you can play as a cat person, and even fewer where the cat person is actually done well (I'm looking at you Oblivion).

As for the Frost Breath thing..... You're half right there. I suppose a good excuse would be that he was panicking and simply brought up the first shout that he could think of to save himself. In reality though, I can't just give a character an instant kill move that works on everything. I believe the proper term I'm thinking of right now is Gary Stu, a character that doesn't have to worry about anything and generally solves all his problems easily and without challenge. If he could win every fight easily, there would be no challenge, no feel to the danger he was in. I have to make him lose, or come close to losing fights every once in a while, to keep him feeling real and creative, which introduces a challenge, seeing as I still have to make him feel like a badass.

I got a bit out of hand with that comment, but my point remains the same. As always, thanks for reading.

Awesome story but a am curious about the khajiits are they weaker to magic because I get my ass beat by a lot of mages.

1183778 Honestly you could have your dragonborn only have a small slew of shouts as though they didn't go to all of the little word walls.... maybe around 4 or so.... The Fus Ro Dah one, the whirlwind sprint one, the one that brings dragons to the ground, and the fire breath one.

The Fus Ro Dah one is pretty much a given as it is the first one you get, the sprint one also as it more of a supportive shout, the dragon rend one doesn't really do much aside from ground dragons and you gain that nearing the end of the game, and the fire breath one would just be a good offensive shout.... Granted you could always introduce some sort of cooldown to how many can be used in a certain timespan.

Also the fire breath one in essence would be less powerful/op than the ice breath one in the sense that it wouldn't freeze them solid for a good couple of seconds.

I have to ask, is he going to go thru the oblivion gate, or assuming that he may not know how the gate is closed it may just stay open till some one jacks the sigil from within it.

Alright then, time to consult the walking Elder Scrolls encyclopedia that is me.
As a good Skyrim player should know, every race starts off with different abilities. These vary greatly between each other, and for the most part, the abilities go rather well with the race it is based off. For example, dunmer, or more commonly known as dark elves, live in the province of Morrowind, and in the center of Morrowind, is a bloody giant volcano. Because dark elves have lived there for so long, they have developed a resistance to the heat and fire, that came from living next to a freaking volcano. Same with the nords, but with frost, due to living in colder climates, such as Skyrim.

Khajiit hail from Elsweyr, which is unimportant. What is important is that they are based off cats, which are nimble, fast and quiet. Just the perfect mix for a character based on stealth right? What is my point of that. Khajiit, being based around stealth, start with abilities that aid them with sneaking, not including their claws, those are just for show really, later in they're useless. They get night eye, which lets them sneak through dark places, avoiding people who can't see them in said dark place, as well as bonuses to many stealth orientated skills. But how does that relate to magic with them?Well, one important note is that they don't get any magic resistance like nords, dark elves, and bretons, because they're supposed to be avoiding any confrontation in which they would need it. Because of this, while they aren't really 'weak' to magic attacks, they really aren't all that good against them, seeing as they shouldn't even get near a single powerful spell. That said, they don't make bad warriors or mages, it's just that there are other races that do such a thing better.

In short, they should be sneaking by enemies with magic, rather than attacking them. Unless you're like me, and you enchant everything to make it so magic doesn't do anything. Either or.

Wow, that was a long rant. Sorry if it looked a bit blockish, I get pretty serious when it comes to this series.

1183939
Not a bad idea. I'm not going to restrict his shouts to just four though, but maybe six or five. Something along the lines of that. As for the Oblivion Gate thing, my answer is quite simple. Probably. Unless I can think of some other way of closing it without going in, I most likely will have to do such a thing at one point.

Keep in mind, this isn't "Oblivion in Equestria, Featuring the Dragonborn". Its a separate story, and while it is influenced by other games in the series, it is a standalone story, and it has it's own storyline as well.

1184094
Not to sound daft but um....what? I mean, I didn't quite catch your meaning and, well, you get my meaning.

I wonder how a Thalmor Justiciar would react if thrown into Equestria...

Probably violently.

Stop making me want to continue playing Skyrim! I need to stop the Joker in Arkham City!

Anyways, liked and faved, this story is great. I noticed a number of errors in this chapter (sorry if someone already pointed it out, didn't check the comments >_<) but nothing extremely major. I like your story-telling method, and the narration thing reminds me of the Courier fic I'm also tracking/reading :pinkiehappy:

1184185
Probably.
So...lost any followers in Oblivion recently? I hear they have a habit of doing that.

1184191
Joker, the ultimate troll. I wish you luck my friend.
Okay, serious now, thanks. I do know about several of the errors in it, I'm probably going to do a read over to skim out some of them later. Could you point out a few, preferably the worst ones. It would make them a little easier to fix.
Now let me guess, that Courier fic is called Wayward Courier, isn't it? I hope so, otherwise I probably seem like an idiot right now :rainbowlaugh: .

1184121 I actually forgot most of the shouts..... I also remember an ethereal form shout, a calm surrounding animals shout, the summon dragon shout (not really sure if it would work counting he is in a different realm)

And seeing how he is weak in magic.... I'm assuming he doesn't know the heal self spell (the beginner one that takes forever to heal up your health) Granted seeing how stat wise he seems like he would be a mid to higher level character, and with that much health, the spell wouldn't really be that useful for quick healing.... wait... derp he heals the manticore with a spell..... I forgot about that.....

Before I took its life with one final swing, it had the time to say “Well fought.”

If I'm not mistaken, there should be a comma before the quotation, right after say. I could be mistaken though.

They really were minor though. I'm pretty sure there was a too/to issue somewhere as well. I might have gotten mixed up and saw them in the first two chapters, I just read through all three in one go. I'll try to make a point to note them in the future.

Yes! It is the Wayward Courier! I still have two chapter updates to read on them. :twilightsheepish:

1184290
Thanks for pointing that out, I'll look out for it in the future.
About your comparison between this and WC, I would be lying if I said I didn't take a lot of inspiration from it. I mean, it isn't the sole reason I wrote this, but you can defiantly see the similarities. The intro for each chapter for example; practically stolen right out of it. The main difference between mine fic and Tony1685's, is that Wayward Courier is certified gold, mine is maybe a piece of Coal. :rainbowlaugh:
Now to finish this I- wait, what! You're two updates behind :pinkiegasp:! The hell are you doing here then, go read them, now! :twilightangry2: (I'm kidding, in case it wasn't obvious.)

1184257 No, you;re pretty spot on. He has practically no skill with magic aside from enchantment. When he healed the manticore, he used all his power he had at the time, and it took all his magicka (which is 120), and even then he passed out form the exhaustion. He heals primarily with potions and other such things. Sounds lie he won't have any trouble with healing then, right? Well, I very much doubt Equestria has the same plants and wildlife as Tamriel. He may have to experiment a little first.

1184448

Funny story, I recently moved for a new job and spent about a good week with transit, orientations, packing and unpacking, and when I FINALLY got a phone, still no internet, I was terrified to see my favorites update list at like 89. Absolutely terrified. How the heck do I work, play games, stay social, pay bills AND read stories about ponies?!!??! Not enough hours in the day I tell you.

Oh and I'm down to 19 unread updates, and the freaking feature box isn't helping!

1184448 Hmmmm.... Zecora...... hint hint..... Yeah if you don't have the beginning mastery in the corresponding spell skills, then they do eat up magicka fast.... no matter wether or not they are a low level spell.

1184477
Yeah, I got back from a vacation about a week ago, I've got over a hundred stories still to read before the updates hit zero. And with Past Sins here now....well, I'm going to be busy a while. Just watch Kkat put Fallout Equestria up here, I'd never finish reading.

1184485 I do plan on Zecora being a big part of this story, but only when The Dragonborn heads into Everfree for the second time, which is in a future yet-to-be-written chapter. Still, I'll think on it, I've been given so much advice, I'll need some time to process it all.

1184530

Please don't even MENTION Fallout Equestria! I have it on my tablet in pdf format sitting at chapter 5. I'M SO ASHAMED BY HOW FREAKING DAUNTING IT IS.

1184613
Ha, I have a friend who's been stuck on chapter seven for months now. He's just so intimidated.
I have no idea why, it's only six hundred twenty five thousand words long. I mean, what's to be intimidated by? Project Horizons is almost one million words long after all. :rainbowlaugh:

Dammit Dagon! Did you not learn a thing from Elder Scrolls IV?

1184660
I know right? I mean, after killing him with the Wabbajack you think he would have gotten the idea that invading a world was a bad idea.

I'm enjoying this.
I think he should have 6 to 7 shouts, seeing as there are over 20 in the game, definitely the call animals shout.

My fave in Oblivion was Argonian straight up, and Skyrim was Nord (Xbox) and Khajiit (PS3. Couldn't come up with a name so I just called him Khajiit Drone #967428 XD )

Good choice on Krosis and Dragonscale! Don't think I've heard of Oathblade before, did you make it or is it in the game?

Also if he's defeated Alduin then he would have already flown in the sky. :3

1184875
Yeah, I think that many shouts would be pretty good too. The call animal shout was one I didn't think of before, good idea, I wouldn't of thought of it. Thanks.

As I already said before, khajiit are my favorite race, at least in Morrowind and Skyrim. In Oblivion I played as a dark elf with pitch black skin in contrast to his red eyes. It was kinda stereotypical but he looked pretty awesome. Also, that name is badass.

As for Oathblade, I kinda based off an actual item, but it really was made by myself. The item I based it off is named Bolar's Oathblade and it's found in a cave somewhere, the one Hircine's quest takes place in. It's a bit tricky to get, seeing as it vanishes once you start the quest.

It's one of the earliest blades swords you can find, but it's enchanted, and oddly enough, needs Quicksilver rather than steel to improve it. Because of this, I generally pick it up once I get out of Helgen, seeing as it does quite a bit more damage than most other weapons at the time. It isn't very good for later in though; it's enchantment is very, very weak, so I ditched it for another blades sword, which I named Oathblade and enchanted with Fiery Soul Trap and fire damage (100 enchantment). That plus Dragonbane with max smithing and a blacksmith increasing potion made for two, very lethal weapons.

And I know he already flew in the sky, he references Odaving in that paragraph.

1182224 yes in chapter 2. You said elsweyr was the wood elf homeland. Valenwood is their province. Elsweyr is the desert land of the khajiit bordering valenwood.

1184934 Sure thing bro. Maybe he can call a hydra to help. XD

Meh. Never cared much for the elves or humans on Oblivion. They all looked like they had downs. Of course in Skyrim they completely turned over and fucked how the Argonian looked. I didn't want Lizardman, I wanted A lizard man.

No kidding? Huh. Guess I'll check it out on a new game.

And its kinda like Ebony Blade on how it needs a different material to make it stronger. (In Ebony Blades case, betrayal)

Oh. I guess I didn't notice.

1184934 Oh and he would have to know Dragonrend if he has already ridden Odahviing.

1184668 Oh yeah he's suppossed to melt after getting hit by a blast right? He never did for me :'(

1185543
Sorry about that, I don't know how I missed it during proofreading. Thanks for pointing it out. Now for the reference, I did know that, but I guess I just fucked up that part when I was writing. Edit: I found it, and fixed thanks for pointing it out.

1186409
Calling a hydra out of a forest to fight against the waves of Oblivion would be bloody badass, you should have been able to do that in Skyrim. And yes, he knows dragonrend (I can't see him using it all that much, but I have a few idea's). I have to agree with you about Oblivion's elves, they really did look like they had downs. Fuck every race in that game did, but it was still a very enjoyable game. And yep, melting Dagon with the Wabbajack, best glitch ever.

OH MA GERD:heart::heart::heart::heart: :moustache:THIS STORY IS BOSS

1184018
Thanks for the info on the khajiits it's my first elder scrolls game so kind of a newbie.

1190807
No problem, I understand that was a really long post for such a simple question; for that, my apologies, as I said before, I'm a pretty big fan of this series (started with Morrowind, damn I love me my Morrowind) so I know quie a bit about it. As always, thanks for reading.

1190899
No it's all right I do the same thing some times.

Death is kind of a way of saying 'this story is now over'. If you wanted to end it dramatically without giving the feeling the story was over, you could've said 'So I did and everything faded to black'. You need to be careful with that sort of thing otherwise people will pick up the wrong idea.

This is simply amazing, great story plz finish it :raritystarry:

1202821
Thanks. I don't think it's quite as good as everyone says, but I'm still happy all of you are enjoying it.
