Dusk need time to undestand his feelings, to get why, when and how. It's not like he has obligation to return Blitz's feelings.

I wanted to get the theme of religion in, but Equestria doesn't have religion, so instead I tried to work out a historical basis for the hate that AJ spews out, it was difficult, but I did it in the end. All shall be revealed soon!

AJ is acting pretty OOC. Even if R63-ed AJ was pissed that a friend of his was gay, he wouldn't send ponies to beat the stuffing out of RB. But then again, they were drunk. Then again, AJ wasn't drunk before. Then again, AJ might be acting homophobic because he is gay. Then again...

There needed to be an antagonist, and I wasn't gonna make an OC, so I needed a canon character. Since most characters are lovely and kind, there was gonna be some OOCness somewhere, I chose AJ because he/she seems the most likely of the Mane Six (to me) to be homophobic.
And small point, AJ never once directly told them to beat Blitz up, in fact he stopped them, albeit grudgingly.
And for the record, no, AJ ain't gay in this one.

Well, I can't say I quite relate to this, seeing as how I'm not sexually inclined the way Blitz is. But he still gets all my feels. This may not have been straight up rejection, but it still hurts no matter what gender/sexuality.

Poor Blitzy! I can't fault Dusk for his reaction - and there's a big difference between "I need to be alone" and "Get away from me" - but it hit Blitz pretty hard. That guy needs all the hugs. I'm a bit worried at how coldly vicious Applejack and his friends are being, and at the more widespread homophobia in Equestria, but I do understand the need for an antagonist. I'm sure everypony will come to their senses and write to Prince Solaris about this important lesson in friendship.
Oh, and ten bits says that Dusk had a crush on his foalsitter when he was younger.
Now I am working towards the ending as I speak, the last chapter will be very long, so be patient, and you shall has it before the week is out.
