       ~Chapter 2~

         ~The Construction Sight~

"Come on Zach!"

Zach quickly trotted behind Rose and then hesitated.

"Rose, maybe we should just go back to the class, I mean, it's getting kind of scary in here."

Rose sighed

"Zach, we just got in the forest. How can it be scary already?"

Zach gulped

"Uh, I don't know, I'm just, s-scared."

Zach hid in his jacket

"Oh brother,"

Rose rolled her eyes and then pushed Zach into the forest.

"Come on Zachy! Let's go, into the forest! That's a good Zach! Come on! Come on!"

Zach plopped down and crossed his hooves.

"Ugh, come on Zachery! Let's go!"

Then, they suddenly heard a hissing noise and the bushes rustled.

"Um, Zach, did you hear that?"

"Y-yeah, I think s-so."

Then suddenly a white object sprang out of the bushes, it was Pudums, Rose's cat.  

"Aww, pudums! I was looking for you."

Rose pet her cat and then put her down.

"Zach, this is Pudums. Say hello Pudums."

Zach bent down and Pudums hissed rapidly at Zach, then Pudums scratched his jacket leaving a big claw stain with blood.

"Pudums! I'm sorry Zach, are you okay?"

"Oww, sss, ahh. It burns."

Zach put his hoof over his cut.

"I'm so so so sorry Zach. Here,"

Rose got out a bandage wrap and wrapped it around his cut.

"Thanks Rose."

Rose smiled at Zach.  

"Alright, let's keep moving."

Zach and Rose began to venture deeper into the forest, then Zach tripped over something.

"Ow! What the...."

Zach looked behind himself and saw something shining.

"What's this?"

Rose picked up the shining thing.

"I don't know what the heck it is, but, IT TRIPPED ME!"

Zach got up but Rose was too amazed by the artifact.

"Wow. It's, it's GOLD!"

"Wait, what?"

Zach walked over and saw the gold amulet piece shining in the sun.

"Whoa, it's really bright. It's amazing! What is it?"

Rose turned her head quickly and looked at Zach.

"You mean, you've never heard of the golden amulet of Trottingham?"

Zach looked puzzled, then Rose explained.

"The golden amulet of Trottingham is the one gold amulet that Sam Senna buried in these very woods! Before he died, he    shot the amulet into 4 pieces. And buried them all, in these, these woods Zach. Do you know, what this means?"

"Uh..... no."

"It means, I'm able to save my home! My cat! My dad! This is great!"

While Rose was prancing around, Zach saw some pony in the distance.

He touched Rose's shoulder.

"Rose, there's some pony here. Get down!"

He dragged Rose into a ditch and then they heard voices.

"Boss, if we find those kids we saw earlier, I bet we can make them find the amulet! Their smart kids, but no smarter than you boss."

"Aww, stop. Your flattering me! But, it is true. Not let's go find those kids!"

Rose and Zach then heard their hoof steps going away.

"Phew, that was close, eh Zach?"

"Yeah, it was."

They both were hesitating because they were both scared, both of their hearts were beating fast.

"Okay, let's get going. It's going to be dark in a few hours, and I don't wanna spend the night here."

Zach then nodded and they headed off deeper into the forest.
