Why didn't he wish to not have cancer? And honestly, it's a freakin' cartoon. His dearest wish was that he could talk to some cartoon characters? Not, for instance, have a family, or produce some great work of art, or orchestrate some kind of sweeping social change in the world? To me, at least, these stories of people's lives being so wonderfully enriched by My Little Pony always come across as pathetic. And don't get me wrong, I like MLP, but are people really so vapid that a bunch of cute talking animals are all it takes to make them tear up?
That's all just nitpicky stuff, though. The real problem I have is that I never really found any reason to care about Jayce's plight, and I start to think about stuff like that when I get bored. I just started skimming after three quarters of the way through.

Otherwise I can't really think of a time where a wish would be applicable, especially considering wishes aren't actually real, just hopes based on luck and magic.

1218161 Well this was more of a stocking stuffer, something to get me back into the habit of writing. At the moment, I am currently working on a new project though, it will be big and epic. I don't want to give out spoilers but I will let you know that it will be 95% OC with some references to the mane 6 and crew and will take place in the future.
