I do enjoy a nice happy story. 'twas downright idyllic, and ideal besides!

Just a nice normal day.

The best kind of day for the happiest pony in Equestria.

Sounds like she has a really good life.

Nice. :)

The temptation to lie back on the couch and spend the day reading a potboiler almost overcomes her,

holy crap, I haven't heard of a popular book in ages. A phrase my grandmother used for those Readers Digest books.

Lovely story, Admiral. I needed this this morning.

Life's simple pleasures are the best and are always the ones that give us the most happiness.

Just simply a beautiful story, Biscuit and wonderful way to start the day...and remember what is most important.

Very nice, I envy Sunfire.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty jealous. It's been a rough couple of days.

The King of SoL strikes again. Into my heart.

And it is a good pain.

Most of the time, her vision isn't a problem for her; besides, she's got great distance vision. She struggled with homework until she got diagnosed with hyperopia, and reading glasses fixed her right up.

She writes with her face smushed up against her paper. Of course she's got messed up peepers.

And meanwhile across the whole of Ponydom on the polar opposite of what is the butt of Equestria...

Short, but very well done. Here, have an upvote.

She became the happiest pony by default when EVERYPONY ELSE DIED FROM MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES THAT WILL NEVER BE EXPLAINED BECAUSE I FORGOT HOW TO PLOT!!! :fluttershbad:

Also, Palpatine, I guess.

:trollestia:

The future will bring what it brings; they are all living in the moment, watching as a shooting star traces across the vast sky.

A shooting star that brought... THE BODY SNATCHERS!! And... THE TRIFFIDS!! And... the ZOMBIE VIRUS!! And... THE BLOB!! And... MARTIANS!!! And... me? … Well that explains a lot.

Kind of unsettling, imo.

I was so afraid of the morbid plot twist coming in. So happy it didn't.

Sweet and fluffy as Hell.

Sounds like she has a really good life.

And especially today, when she’s the happiest pony in Equestria (even if she doesn’t know it).

If I do nothing else, I provide obscure terms that people barely remember.

Lovely story, Admiral. I needed this this morning.

<hugs>

Life's simple pleasures are the best and are always the ones that give us the most happiness.

They are. That’s not what Hollywood would have us believe, but it’s the truth.

Just simply a beautiful story, Biscuit and wonderful way to start the day...and remember what is most important.

Very nice, I envy Sunfire.

She’s a mare who’s living her best life.

10056410

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty jealous. It's been a rough couple of days.

I’m glad to be the one to provide a perfectly cute fluffy story to help, at least.

The King of SoL strikes again. Into my heart.

And it is a good pain.

I do what I can.

10056558

She writes with her face smushed up against her paper. Of course she's got messed up peepers.

A common problem for ponies, let’s face it.

And meanwhile across the whole of Ponydom on the polar opposite of what is the butt of Equestria...

Amethyst Star, the one pony who flawlessly combines So Done With This, I’ve Got This, and IDGAF.

I love her so much.

Legit question, if you did find yourself in Equestria, would you be the one in the Everfree Forest trying to make friends with Manny the Manticore?

Fluffy is good for short winter days.

10057544 It's my own little manticore roary-roar, and I will hug him and squeeze him and call him George!

(Manny flees for his life)

Cute story full of fluffy pony goodness.

The happiest pony in Equestria may be starting her morning in Dodge junction, but Calliope, the happiest diamond dog in Equestria was currently riding the brake van on the 4:33 to Baltimare, snoot out the open window and ears flapping in the slipstream...

I've read enough stories over the years with an idyllic setup like this only for the curtain to be pulled back and for the reality to be quite grim, either outright or heavily implied -- so with the absolute straightness with which you wrote a mundane day for a contented individual was like a little geiger counter in my head starting to click away -- but nothing of the sort happens here, so I'm left with the lingering unease. In essence, your setup led me to have expectations you completely destroyed just by playing your premise completely straight, thus I was unsettled.

Hopefully this made some sense.

A delightful snapshot of simple happiness. Pinkie clearly needs to step up her game. Thank you for this.

Simple but never simplistic, fluffy but with enough substance to not be cloying; short, sweet and lovely.

A sub clause of Murphy's deals with ones proximity to Mcguffin and how ones proclivity towards existential terror increases, as well as does ones insurance rates. Oddly enough those closest to Princess's are forbidden by law to have insurance at all:trollestia:

Another cutesy win

Lunch is bread and cheese and a bowl of alfalfa sprouts and it's delicious.

Knowing the palate of large livestock, I'd place alfalfa product as more of a sweetener than anything else.

I could see that, actually. Who’s a good puppy? Calliope.

Yeah, okay, I can see that.

In this case, it’s exactly what you see on the tin--Sunfire has a good day.

10058163

A delightful snapshot of simple happiness.

It is indeed!

Pinkie clearly needs to step up her game.

Well, I figure on average, Pinkie Pie probably has a good ten to twenty percent of happiest pony in Equestria days. And honestly, I don’t think she’d be happy if she was always at the top of the chart and nopony else had a turn.

Thank you for this.

10058749

Oddly enough those closest to Princess's are forbidden by law to have insurance at all:trollestia:

Not to mention, alicorns can’t buy anything with a lifetime guarantee. Nopony’s making that mistake again.

10059041

I'd place alfalfa product as more of a sweetener than anything else.

Maybe that was dessert for her.

I'm gonna use that idea someday.

10059145

I'm gonna use that idea someday.

I feel like somebody already did way back when, but that’s no reason not to.

Too many ponies have heard the story of Equestria's first tontine.
