That's one of the questions about the story. We know that Discord is a liar and we know that he relies on confusion and sowing discord. Was he telling the truth or was he lying about being Navarone? Should you feel for the main character and what he goes through, or should you just say, 'It's Discord, who cares?'? I figure that was part of the fun.

You know, this one here... it confuses me. There was a list of things Discord did supposedly before becoming Navarone (if, in fact, he is Navarone all the time and not only when Navarone is unsupervised or whatever).

None of those seem to have come to fruition, or been mentioned since. This, and the thing with Luna, both seem to fit into two of the things mentioned, but from every perspective those seem to have been done after.

So do we look at the happenings of the story and try and figure out if/where they fall on the list, completely ignoring Discords claims of when and how things happened, or do we wait for similar things to happen a second time because of his asides.

The very fact that I'm raising these questions at all is probably a testament to how chaotic and well done the machinations of Discord are written. Or it's just shitty writing and plot points the author forgot about. Either or.

I think it's kind of a Tyler Durden situation, Navarone is a part of Discords mind that functions independently from the rest of his mind.

Every single one of those events are important to the story in some way. Some of them are more abstract than others. The only one that's really ambiguous and completely out there is >I drove a king mad.

That's the king of Egypt. It was mentioned in passing what happened to him, but this is only around chapter fifteen or so.

So far i'm quite impressed with what i saw, i just hope our little human does end up with a happy life instead of being a discords plaything.

We had to go through all manner of creatures wandering the halls. Snakes were the most common, though we ran into rabid rats and even a raccoon once, though I’m not certain it was actually our enemy; at that point we were just killing anything that moved and wasn’t one of us. I dealt with a few of the snakes by taunting them with the cloak and getting them to attack it, then cutting off their heads with my knife. I stepped on the rats. I got lucky and shot the raccoon with the crossbow, but I had to finish it off by breaking its neck.

I figure I should probably put what really happened with Trixie in here.
As soon as I was ‘accepted’ by enough of the ponies in Ponyville to be allowed to go outside often in my human form, I began taking walks. Sometimes I was gone for hours. Some of these were legitimate walks, just me thinking over the millennia in peace.

Ok I just don't understand this, it's confusing.
So this is Navarone's journal or diary we are reading right? Does that mean Discord "disabled" his human personality at the moment Nav wrote this part so Discord could write? I always assumed Nav is a real person inside the complexity of Discord, sure enough Discord created him from zero, altered some of his physics, probably copied his characteristics from someone, gave him memories and a conscience. So that makes Nav a true individual human being (even if he were clone), unaware of Discord, but still very real. Isn't it right that Discord does not just simply 'play' the character of Navarone, but letting the human boy act on his own, since he really exists as a person?
I thought that Discord only secretly inhabitates the body of Nav as a spirit, so he can see and feel what happens or slightly manipulate Nav's thoughts and feelings, similar to 'Discord Whooves' maybe (you probably know the tumblr).
Did Nav, after his creation, become a 'Persona' or a Person? Is he just an 'act' or is he real?

What confuses me even more is the statement: "often in my human form" or the fact that he was taking walks consciously and with all intend as Discord to think about the millennia.
Does this mean Nave was "sealed" during his walks, or were in fact 2 persons in 1 body consciously awake, but each one thinking parallel about different things?
Furthermore regarding the form, didn't Discord agree to perfectly HIDE himself away, from the world? With a great loss of power? I thought this included, that he would never take another physical appearence, because this would mean he left his supposed 'hideout', not to mention his ablities to change form shouldn't be avaliable due to his own rules of ability loss. I could accept that he can partially 'ghost around' leaving Navarone in spiritual form, but changing to a pegasus stallion? Doesn't that radically break some rules he made? And while he was a pegasus, did Navarone actually disappear? Or was he still wandering around as a split part of Discord?

... Maybe I'm just pissed because he can sweep away Nave's mind whenever he wants! I always imagined Discord would only manipulate, but not firmly control the human. Not because he can't do it, since he is almighty and so, but because he arranged it that way. It's sad to see a sympathic guy, who Is just beginning to befriend these ponies, suddenly vanishing like that. Even if he is a copy, a clone or a creation of a mad spirit, he still feels like a human being.

So tell me please... Does Nav really exist here as a individual human being, or is he instead just a trolling charade of Discord?

Would be glad if you could answer that, else I feel my conscience torn apart with no further endurance to read anymore chapters.

I'm really not supposed to be answering this question, because it's spoilers. But much later on in the story, Navarone does something that pisses Discord off. A lot. It's proven that Nav is his own person. That said, he may or may not be tied to Discord in other ways.

And yes, Discord said that he would have reduced powers. Since he's practically a god, he has nearly limitless powers. What do you get when you reduce infinity by any percentage? Still infinity. Although he doesn't have nearly as many powers as he thinks. Hubris is a big problem for Discord. He's good, but not perfect.

Also note that I'm going to be rewriting some of these early chapters. Already did 1-4. Some of the stuff that's going to be happening soon might not survive the rewrite.

So, one could argue that this makes the (Gigantic spoiler btw, I would suggest Whatmustido's eye's only or someone that's re-reading.) Blueblood poisoning in later chapters at the party was rigged by Discord, but Nav practically saved him, and then Discord's once-alicorn form came up and saved him, which if Navarone didn't help save Blueblood he would be trusted less by everyone, thus speeding the process of Discord's plan, making Blueblood submit faster.
And one more thing: Shouldn't Discord be unable to user his powers? Because if he can use his powers then he broke the whole thing in the prologue about the thingy (Unless you re-wrote that.) And well... Mindfuck basically, really I mean *Discord is Nav, but Nav is not Discord* is the best explanation I got, neither of them is anyone but both are eachother URGH the paradoxes are making my mind hurt now I go and read something why did I comment in the first place?
Sorry, i'm rambling and have been rambling past the three sentence mark, haven't I?

Now I truly believe that Discord might be Navarone.

I like this new version of this chapter, and the introduction of a new species is cool. But I did find a bit of a sentence error.

Looks like that sentence is missing what ever it is Nav is always complaining about, like his limited digestive options disappointingly devoid of meat.

A lot of things changed in this chapter. It was gud.
