The inspiration was a therapeutic exercise from having a loved on be in a similar circumstance, the drug is alcohol, the next chapter should be in a few days, unless I find an editor to look over my grammar. Thanks for the fav and glad you like it!

After Djing at a club in my local town and I was hit by a car and was paralyzed from neck down for about a year But this was about 5 years ago And that is also why I cry when I read this story (The other being how amazing this story is.) So Thank you SOOOOOO much for writing this story ^_^ ALSO Vinyl's boss is a ....... PP.S I* do have an oc but its another Dj so :/ Anyway I can't wait for next chapter

How could I not namedrop the only two people who comment on every chapter? I mean, seriously, you guys rock!
I know I've mentioned this very briefly in the comments somewhere, but this story exists as a bit of therapy for myself, in 2008 I saw my Dad get hit by a car while in the crosswalk. Vinyl's symptoms are medically accurate based on that history and Octavia's reactions and emotions are a mashup of my own feelings and what my family went through. So, I'm very sorry you had to suffer that experience and I'm very glad you recovered.
By the way, tell me about this OC DJ, I may have an idea

Ok well Her name is Thunder Beat Or his stage name is Dj THUND3R "Going to bring the rain"^_^ Or her name that every one uses is Thundy 
She's (Supposedly) An apprentice to Vinyl And 4th Best friend because of Octy and Lyra and BonBon but is A Happy,Cool,laid back chilling sort of girl she is usually never seen outside of shows.
She shares traits that vinyl has like having her signature pair of headphones that are painted grey With a big bolt of lighting looking like a bass wave.
She basically is exactly the same as Vinyl (Because she's a Dj Learning from the best) and is at all of her concerts .When something bad happens she Goes full seriousness (I don't think that's even a word) And goes out of her way to help No matter the extent.
Anyway if you need more info just ask but that's just a 
subject i'm trying to write a fic about her so Anyway I'll be back later

but my cameo its unicorn stallion named Night Star, his coat is a dark purple, his tail and mane are mid-length; they look like shining armour mane but its dark purple with midnight black and a purple strips, his cutie mark is crescent moon with 3 stars, and he has two different eye color of turquoise and violet. if there is any way you can put him in the story that would be great and if you have a cameo let me know so i can put him/her in my story.

The original draft did end with Vinyl dying. I changed it after sitting on the story for a couple months and revisiting it with fresh eyes. Thank you so much for the feedback!

I was about to cry when Vinyl Took the news about her equipment
. and thought this would be the end. But I kept reading and was pleased with the Result . Thanks for this amazing story Ruirik (And for the OC drop there ) I guess I'll be hanging out for chapter 6 then Scratch out (I really can't be bothered with this scratch out thing any more) Later........Another nice chapter with a bit of good and bad. Even got a laugh out of it(Lyra passing out amuses me).
Even with Dawn's reasoning... Still hate her. It feels like she could make that money back without too much hassle and without the need to auction Vinyl's stuff off...then again maybe not. I can't remember if you mentioned whether or not her club was successful. Also another chapter where Octy and Vinyl's interactions made me hnngh... I think that I'm getting a bit repetitive, but excellent chapter, can't wait for the next one.

I've been trying to make it less depressing, honest! Though Vinyl's gear...well... some things hurt longer then others.

I'm glad that the interactions seem to be improving, I'm always worried about those not feeling authentic. As for Dawn, success in the entertainment industry is a very fickle thing that is very easy to lose, hence her fear about getting dragged into a social issues debate. I'm still not sure about Dawn though..... Because I can respect what she is doing for here child and fellow workers and such But I think she is hiding something,She never mentioned her Stallion or possibly Marefriend That's probably why she was in tears .....Buuut that's what I think.... Well... that goes a long way to explaining why Dawn is doing what she's doing, but it also shows a side of her that's not totally heartless either (as she was made out to be when Bon Bon first went to talk to her; at least that's my opinion). You've managed to make her a sympathetic character in a fic where everybody needs that and for that I applaud you.
I'm really... REALLY... hoping for a good ending to this, even though I think it would be an appropriate one to have Vinyl die from her injuries, but its your fic and I'll read it till the end either way. Keep up the good work!
Also, Tavi, Lyra and Bon Bon are missing a vital idea at the moment. They're looking to the Canterlot Symphony for help and getting help from friends, but what about Vinyl's Fans? It sounds like she's got a lot of them and you'd think that if the newspapers found out that she was injured so badly that the fan outcry would help out a fair bit... just an idea.

I knew something was up with Dawn ^_^ Now I feel really bad for Dawn.Its very hard to concentrate when you have to take care of your family and worry about others,Which ends up She had to make a choice ..... She picked her family but I guess she has no choice,Family always comes first. Theres my little Thing there.
