When a mysterious black figure causes the heroes of Mobius to be transported to Equestria, it's up to Sonic, Shadow, and Silver to find a way home. Along the way, they meet the Guardians of Harmony themselves: 'The Mane 7'. Together they must defend Equestria from the evil forces that seek to control it, whether it be from Equestria, or Mobius. But little do they know, that their two worlds may be more connected than they think.

In the Sonic World the characters are Chaos energy sensitive like in Star War exactly like Force sensitivity. So when they're walking whoever has the chaos emeralds they can feel its energy being a possible sign of gained powers back. And since you're using Mephiles he must have his handy dandy purple Chaos Emerald. Can we learn from Sonic X chaos number 6 the most unstable Chaos Emerald of all.

It's going to be a matter of time before all their experiments are going to alert the government. The games have always implied a special connection between the Rings and the chaos emeralds. We need a certain amount of rings to enter the special zones back in the 2D games to get emeralds. In Archie Comics, the Rings work like radiation residue or a life power source that works the world that comes from Chaos Emeralds. And if one chaos Emerald can hurt them by touching it, imagine all the unknown residue energy in the air that will affect them all in unknown ways.
