Princess Celestia overlooks the ruinous city of Canterlot. No longer the bearer of the Elements of Harmony with her sister Luna, Celestia is powerless to stop Discord's reign, or his detestable bragging.

* Takes place while Twilight is re-harmonizing her friends in 'The Return of Harmony Part 2'.

Short, sweet and nicely written. You really do have to feel sorry for Celestia having to deal with Discord while he gloats.

Interesting, a fun read. There really is no conflict, but it doesn't matter too much. It stands very interesting as a conversation between the two. Good work. Keep it up.

Thanks :3 Keeping in mind that there 'ideally' isn't room for a conflict outside Celestia's sense of hopelessness and anger ^^ Remember, this is a very short scene, that is supposedly taking place inside 'The Return of Harmony' arc. The 'conflict' is the same conflict as the episodes themselves, this is just a 'what if' scene from it.

I understand that there is no room for conflict, and that's why I enjoy the story even without anything truly driving it. I've always kinda been interested in what Celestia was doing the whole time.

As was I ^-^ Thanks again for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it.

Great story, needs moar Scoots.

Interesting enough, though short in nature. nice.

Your first non-scootalove. Not bad:pinkiehappy:

Just great. I can see Discord doing this before the Elements confronted him to actually defeat him like he gloated he would not be. Nothing happens but Discord bragging about his alleged victory--well, at that point, thus far, it was believed to be that, even with what Celestia did--but that's perfectly fine. I'm not even sure why I like it so much. Well, to be honest...maybe it's because this is a fanfiction with Discord and Celestia with no romance. *sigh of relief* I like the pairing and all, but it's great to just see them as enemies verbally fighting and nothing more. *shrugs* Oh, I dunno. I faved it, don't question it! :derpytongue2:

Yeah, Celestiacord isn't a shipping I care for either in the present time, that much. Having it have been a factor in their relationship in the past, but having Celestia reject him is an interesting concept, but that's it. Glad you enjoyed this so much, and see the validness of it that I did when picturing it =3

Sorry it took so long for me to read this:twilightsheepish: As with your other stories, your writing is superb, and you capture the characters very well. I totally read Discord's dialog in his voice:twilightsmile:

It was a little short. But considering when it takes place, the short length is understandable. Favorited, thumbed up, and take this mustached Spike for good luck:moustache: ~DashPony

A nice approach on showing what happened "backstage". I think the length is chosen well, as it is just a short scene of the mightiest two-parter the show ever saw. Still, it contains everything that's necessary to build up joy to the last word.

Good job.

Wow. This felt like a scene from the show, i really don't know what else to say.

That's what I aim for, so it's great to see that's how you read it! Thanks!

Really loved this little exchange--I thought you captured pre reform Discord's personality excellently :pinkiehappy: And you did a great job making them relate in a way that was antagonistic but also just slightly suggestive for the shippers ^_^ Thanks for this!

6016218 I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D I don't think I planned for it to be that way, but I'm glad it did. Something for everyone. x)
