This story follows the tale of Dawn, a somewhat short, but technologically astute pony from another dimension where machinery reigns, magic is present only in myths, and his only companion was a protective suit with an A.I. named S.A.R.A.. Only a week has passed before the story takes place, and he has already accomplished angering his first acquaintance, a unicorn by the name of Carn, by shattering his horn upon arrival. After making a promise to repair the pony's source of magic (all the while believing it to be some kind of telekinetic implant), the two set out to find the master of magic herself, Twilight Sparkle. Unknown to Dawn, something sinister is brewing in his own world that threatens to become powerful enough to jump dimensions as well, and a strange creature of smoke and deception indirectly offers to lend them a helping hoof. As Dawn continues to adapt to this strange world, he meets other ponies with unique gifts and talents that will be his only hope in stopping this familiar evil.

As of now, I'm busy with military and college stuff, so it may take a little while to get the next chapter up. Also, my editor pretty much bailed on me, so I would greatly appreciate any kind of constructive criticism. Lastly, the story will have its sad parts as well and the dark parts will happen later.
