Big Macintosh is dragged to a party where he feels out of place. It seems, however, that there is a pony there to keep him company. It seems to be the start of a great friendship between the red stallion and the purple unicorn.

I just realized that I've already read this on Deviantart, but it's just as heartwarming the second read as it is the first. 
I usually read shipfics with big conflicts and long arcs, but it's refreshing to read something as short and sweet as this. Now that I've found you again, I can read your newer stories!

And for the conflicts and long arcs, it's not my cup of tea. While I do come up with ideas and what not that are similar, I enjoy small simple stories that are more fun and with touches of other things. However, I might have one or two that will be a bit more complex that what I have done in the past. But that won't be there for a while.
