What happened to applejack? I quite like stories like this because of the ponies emotions behind this, but I always ask the same question "What happened?" anyways, liked this story especially because it's a twijack :)

The sadness was brought with applejack leaving twilight, then it was made worse with the passing if winona, i would have been happy if they at least kept the memory of applejack alive with winona but causing twilight to lose everything from the pony she loved the heart was broken and the tears flowed

Letting Winona die was something I debated about for a while, but yeah. We can't be sure whether or not Twilight is able to face the loss that she's been dealt, but her mixed emotions and the loss of Winona offer a little insight into where she is at and what she's learned.
