Hi, my name is Twilight Sparkle. A few days ago I got in an accident and lost my memory.
What's worse; I'm stranded in a desert town after their train station has been destroyed and I'm constantly experiencing strange dreams during the night.
Something tells me it's gonna be a tough ride from here on out, but at least I have my friends and my trusty old journal to help me... right?

Almost remembering, then it vanishing halfway. Sounds like a curse or magical block.
Something that has always confused me, in the second case. Why does the hardwired memories (like speech patterns, grammer, and dialect) remain. It isn't instinctual afterall...
Not going to be featured this chapter, but if you keep going it probably will be, however I would sugest taking out the description of a punch to the gut. Either just they seemed like they got a punch to the gut or it felt like all the air was sucked out of the room.
Following, nopefully this will turn out like one of the better amnesia stories. Where not everything works out magically.
