Chapter 8 I Fought the Law

I woke up in a nice warm not soaked bed for once and even though I could feel Celestia’s forelegs around my body. I moved slightly and she mumbled something incomprehensible. She then proceeded to hold on me tighter and rested her head on my chest. I slowly moved her forelegs off of me and got up. I stretched and looked for a fresh set of clothes. I got dressed and headed to the kitchen. I looked around the kitchen for those two but couldn’t find them anywhere. I found a letter by the door it said ‘we went to the mall with John and don’t worry we wore disguises.’

I sighed in relief and looked at my computer today I decided to check the web for news and to watch some videos. I looked in the news to see if anybody had seen or noticed Luna or Celestia and by the news I could tell that nobody knew anything or at least anything conclusive. There weren’t any good videos on the internet so I shut my computer down. I sat down and looked at my blueprints for my T.A.D.D.

I contemplated how long this was going to take out of my life. Everything pointed to me being able to do it but why did I feel so sad and uninspired to do anything at all. It pissed me off to no end but at the same time I felt relieved by this feeling and so I shook the cobwebs out of my head and started to put it back together.

It took me two hours to get the basic exoskeleton built and at the time John, Twilight, and Luna came back from shopping. I stood up to greet them and pulled Luna aside from the group for a talk.

“Luna can you tell me why is Celestia still sleeping with me?”

“Well this is just an assumption mind you James, I think she maybe using you as a safety blanket and is using you to protect her from feeling depressed. Again that is just a guess James it could be that she has feelings for you.”

“Thank you Luna.” I let Luna go back to John to talk about what ever those two talk about and I grabbed Twilight away from the group.

“Yes James.” She said in the most innocent tone she could muster. I got kind of angry at that.

“Stop it Twilight okay you damn well know what this is about. Now listen I will put this bluntly for you I like you as a friend Twilight no more no less. So if I hear you thinking of me or talking about me in an inappropriate or sexual manner I will throw you outside and you will stay there until you learn your lesson. Okay when you get home please try to find a good stallion that loves you back because if you look for people like me all you’ll find is a black space because my pain is not felt in your world. So please don’t have a crush on me because I will just hurt you in the long run.” She frowned and shook her head

“Sorry James but the reason why I love you is because you’re so cold and calculating. You aren’t like other stallions who just rush into things without thought or reason; when you do things you do them because they’re logical answers to the situation at hand and I just love that about you. So no I will never find somepony like you probably in my entire life but I can wait thirteen years of my life to be with you. So this is it, for me this is beyond a crush I feel we truly belong together no matter what.”

“Well it’s your choice then Twilight and I can’t stop you. But what I can say is don’t stop your life because of me. You need to make sure that you live life to the fullest okay and when I come to your world I will make sure to stop by Ponyville.”

I let her go to her room and started to work on the machine again. I got about twenty circuits set up by lunch time; I had a can of soup and went back to work. By the time it was time for supper I had complete putting in all the circuits and wiring. I made myself a ham sandwich and talked to Luna about dimensional travel. I then proceeded to work on the device until 9 pm, after that I went in my room and huddled next to Celestia. I fell asleep almost instantly and the next morning I repeated the same cycle this went on for three days straight until I decide to take a break. I looked around the house for Celestia but couldn’t find her anywhere so I headed outside and saw her staring at the sun. She turned her head back and looked at me.

“Your sun is heavier than ours I can’t even stop it from rotating or slow it down. I must be weaker than I thought.”

“It’s not like you could even do it though the sun is like 100 times bigger than our planet.”

“You must have a very powerful ruler then James.”

“Actual we have more of a democratic system than a monarchy and the sun and the moon move on they’re own.”

“Oh well I have a question James. If our two species were to fight, who would win?”

“Uh well you have magic and are trained in close combat and we have weapons of mass destruction, training in close combat, and advanced weaponry. So to tell you the truth we would win by a long shot.”

“Well that is bad to know, to tell you the truth I was thinking of taking control of this world’s government and instigating a worldwide monarch run by me and Luna and have a council of elders to take control when I and Luna aren’t there. Hell I was going to give this planet as a present to Luna to show that I was sorry for imprisoning her on the moon.” This is when I got angry.

“Is my planet just a fucking toy for you Celestia?! Are you so blind and ignorant to see your system does work that well to every political system has its flaws and what you suggesting is not monarchy, its dictatorship!”

“Good you react the same way I would if my planet was threatened.”

“I what?!”

“The statement about how I wanted to take over your world was false. I was testing your heart James, to see when or if I tried to take over your world how much fight your people would put up. I already decided that your planet was doing fine but now I know it’s in capable hands hopefully you do better than your past predecessors.”

“I didn’t know you felt that way, I want to know Celestia are you threatened by us?”

“The truth is I and Luna are very afraid of your military but not of your general population. So James I find your planet most amazing and terrifying. I find your culture, your technology, and I love your politics. I am afraid of your military, your weapons, and the internet.”

“Why are you scared of the internet?”

“It’s just so frightening to have all the information of your world in your hooves, also how easy you can find explicit images is pretty scary.” She shivered in disgust at the last part.

“Well since we’re just rolling out what we think our worlds then I’ll tell you what I think of you world. I find that the way your government just plain selfish it seems that your government only involves themselves in a situation to make sure they stay in power. The education system is poor and that makes your people incapable to care for themselves, your technology hasn’t been updated much over the last few years because of that. Most of the people on the planet are scared of the unknown because they aren’t smart enough to know that the unknown isn’t always dangerous. If fact you, Luna, and Twilight seem to be the smartest people on the planet when it comes to politics and academic research. The best thing about your world is the worldwide peace.”

“Wow you are of quick study when it comes to civilization James and in most part your right my ponies are very foalish when it comes to unknown things but they are also good at what they know and what they know is farming and taking care of the planet.”

“I too find your insight on our education system very interesting James.’’ I looked behind me at Luna who must have popped up during our conversation. “So how do you suggest we make our ponies more academically equivalent to us.”

“You need to review your history and put in the most important events of your history, you need to create an official measurement system and you also need to put all your youth in school longer.”

“How long?”

“About fourteen years then have extra options for certain jobs that need to be done.”

“I find that great and hopefully we will start using that when you arrive but right now we need to get our military in shape after they haven’t experience any real combat in what 500 years.”

“What about Discord and the Changelings?”

“They were totally unprepared for it and that’s why they lost control of Canterlot so fast. There is one recruit that shows promise though; he wasn’t captured during Discord or the Changeling attack. He is also the most suicidal in the army.”

“Oh... So what’s his name?’’

“We don’t know so we just call him John Stallion, he’s taken the name as a badge of honour since he was named by me and my night guards. Oh and the night guards were just fascinated with him, he may not know his own name but he can tell the best war stories.’’

“So what’s his fighting style?’’

“He fights dirty and the only way I can sum it up is on the first day in training. He just walked in the camp and up to the coach handed a note that said he wanted in. The coach proceeded to ask his name and time after time John said ‘I don’t have a name.’ The coach yelled at him and then John snapped he bucked the coach in the balls and threw him to the ground. He then went two legged and stepped on the coach’s throat. Kneeling down he looked at everypony and said. ‘You have three knives before I take this stallion’s life.’ After every knife he asked for any takers and since everypony was too scared to react he killed the coach and they put him in solitary confinement for life. His sentence didn’t last that long because 2 months later Discord showed up and turned the facility he was in, into a bouncy castle. He escaped and they couldn’t find him anywhere for 3 months after Discord. He again just waltzed into the camp and sighed up again. The coach asked ‘what’s your name.’ Luckily the recruits from last time ran up to the coach and told him not to ask him or he would end up like the last coach. So he stopped and allowed him in the army, the coach took a liking to the kid so he put him under his wing. The way he survived the changeling disaster is that he killed 25 changelings until they were scared of him and left him alone. He then proceeded to grab a cigarette out of his pocket and smoke it while he chatted with a royal guard stuck in that slime about combat training and respect. After that we came up to his outpost and gave him the six elements award and we just decided to give him the name John Stallion.”

“I like him already.”

“You should you two seem to be equivalent when it comes to combat and smarts, he is actually my personal advisor.”

“Great.”

A/N Well I’m sorry for getting this chapter out late it’s just that my mind is shooting blanks right now as to what’s going to happen next, I guess I can give you a hint everypony is gone except for James. Hope you enjoy this chapter, I sure did.
