A machine falls from the sky, and recounts arbitary, short stories about the world it used to know.

A series of TCB-verse sketches, humorous or otherwise, all executed in 255 to 500 words apiece, and grouped here to make a sizeable enough story/collection. Feel free to skip the Prologue if you wish, it's just for flavor.

Random stories. Your mileage may vary.

Final Frontier - What happens when humans are the one to tap into Equestria first?

Paradox - A man attempts to save the world, by stopping the greatest assassin of all time - himself.

Call of Duty: Troll Warfare - Celestia plays mind-games with a HLF commander. (Idea credit: EracTick)

The Bright Side of Life - There's a silver lining to every cloud, even decapitation. (Half the jokes were written by Aegis Exemplar) (Vaguely set in Chatoyance's "Mankind Triumphant" universe) (We just wanted an excuse to have Celestia's head making head jokes)

To Hell and Back - Summer has an epiphany, and takes a level in badass.

This is just stuff I've written. Want more, by other authors? Go here.

Oh its TCB, therefore I must downvote because all TCB are the same.

actually, it's barely touching on TCB stuff at all, except as a backdrop.

Heh, and Celestia is trolling someone, how could you go wrong with that?

I think these are a bit too short for my tastes; there isn't really much depth to them.  Not that depth is mandatory in a fic, but I don't think I got into it enough for it to merit a thumb, be it up or down.

They were very interesting, which is the funny part; I think they could each be expanded into real, full-length stories.

Stories this short are a bit of an acquired taste, I'm not gonna blame you for withholding judgement on this one.

That was the thing - these ideas all sounded awesome in a fully fledged story. But I dunno how i'd fit them in, so here we are. I get ideas like these.

So I went the other way, and cut 'em all down to size. Snapshots. They do lose a little, I'll admit, but I guess I leave it all up to the reader to imagine. (Lazy solution, har)

I guess they read a little differently to myself and certain others because we've immersed ourselves in the TCB-verse.

These are fun, I liked the sniper story the best thus far. Quite a candy box of little chocolates - this could be quite entertaining if you have enough varied tastes within you. I think of Fredrick Brown and his short, short, short stories.

Half the joke writing credit goes to AegisExemplar.

Why is Celestia a decapitated head? Read Mankind Triumphant by Chatoyance.

Celestia, off her nut in the Treasure Chest, dreaming dreams to ward off the screaming.

    Genius.

Perhaps that's a little deeper than I intended to go with the story.

Pity. I like deep. I love the chthonic depths where the soul is trialed, and in this case truly chthonic, for Celestia is, if anything, an Elder God.

See that's what Celestia gets for sticking her neck out for a people who might not want it, but hey she finally quit while she was ahead.

    Also, oddly appropriate.

    >>1088679 I'm thinking there needs to be a series now based on the everyday life of Celestia's severed head in the human world. Maybe she could start up a new school for magic. Of course, she would be the Headmistress.

that was pretty awesome, and impressively emotional for a mere 514 words.

What original story? This is a collection of short stories, and not a single one of them has a link to anything else I've written. (Except Final Frontier. Might have to turn that into a proper TCB story one day.)
