Twilight discovers Discord in-hiding - which is strange enough - but the discussion they have causes her to consider the particulars of true harmony, and whether or not a being such as he should be allowed to live freely to retain his part in it.
Slightly shippy and possibly angsty. Putting it under 'sad' because there's no 'hurt/comfort'.
This is great so far, I love the feel of their debate.
But, is it just me, or does this kinda remind you of the scene with the Arbiter and Lord Hood at the end of Halo 3? Just the whole, "I can't forgive you but I will call you my friend" thing. I don't know maybe it's just me, but it does make this scene feel all the more awesome.
I know, another short one, but I wanted to get that all in one chapter. I figured that Twilight needed to at least visit Celestia once for help,,and it gave me a chance to figure out my own 'Celestia/Luna genesis story'
It's also looking like this story will be a bit longer than I originally planned, trying to space the chapters out and keep them at an even length.
one thing evreybody/pony neads to know their are two sides to everey argument and that the victors write the history books.
take some of my examples
chrisalis tried to take over equestria because they wanted more food, sure she wanted to inslave ponies but it was for food
in the actual series what do we know about discord besides he is "evil" conquered equestria and likes to mess around with stuff?
nightmare moon/luna tried to take over because she wanted more ponys respecting her and the night for more then just it being the time when you sleep
Cruel, but necessary if he comes out of 'hiding' to wreck havok on all of Equestria again. He'd be fine if he just stuck to non-living things (and bunnies) like he did in the Ever Free forest, but he'd get bored with that and move on to ponies again.
I'm really loving this story. It's kind of like The ABC's of Chaos: Adorable, Bothersome, Chaotic but it has a very different feel to it because he starts with all his powers and such.
That's one of the fics on my 'to-read' list that I'm a bit too intimidated to read as yet (also for fear of accidental influencing). I'm trying to avoid anything too-similar until it's done...mostly cause I'm sure their stories are far better than mine.

Hope it's still an enjoyable chapter, even if mine seem to be so short. At least we finally will have our favorite purple unicorn and draconoquess in the same area again after two whole chapters apart.

Now that I have those questions on paper, onto the fangirlling. OMFG!!! ONE WHOLE WEEK?!?! I CANT WAIT A WHOLE WEEK!!! I NEED AN UPDATE SOONER THAN THAT!!!!! This fangirlling has been brought to you by parasprites. The best way to get a rise out of someone.
While your rage is humorous it's still misdirected. Ckat's original plan was to have this chapter be really long and have a few more scenes in it, but when I was reading I saw that spot and thought, "This looks like a good spot to chop the chapter, more consistent with the length of the other chapters and cliff hangers make people rage with curiosity." 
So while I don't mean to sound like I'm taking all the credit for it, the cliff hanger was pretty much my fault. 
I'm not much for h/c with Discord--it reminds me too much of h/c with the Joker, and Harley Quinn can tell you how well that turns out--but judging by the first chapter, this isn't whitewashing or overjustifying him. (I'll hold off on reading the rest until it's finished, since once I get hooked, I get impatient waiting for updates, but I'll give you a Like.)
One thing that disappointed me about the first chapter was that it didn't display much of a narrative voice--that is to say, you didn't have many turns of phrase that seemed uniquely yours. That said, the characters' voices are conveyed much more clearly, with an enjoyable contrast between Twilight's and Discord's styles of speech.

I'm rather curious as to how this will turn out as i get the vague feeling that the most likely place it'll all fall apart is Celestia. Especially if she's still somewhat blind to the whole point of Discord as a concept (especially when, if you think about it, Discord can potentially be argued or claimed to be responsible for even such vital pony-things as Cutie Marks. After all... it'd be so boring if every pony was the same... right?) Who knows how much of the world is a result of Discord's side of the balance.
Aside from Discord, obviously - and I doubt he's liable to explain.
Many, MANY times I wanted to slap somepony/draconequus (mostly a certain draconequus). But it was still awesome. I could hardly bring myself to read certain lines of dialogue/scenes/the whole thing, that's how you can tell somethings good. Can't wait till next time!

Again I tried oh-so-hard to keep the pacing even, even though I knew (and kinda wanted) that things would intensify rapidly. 
After I finished with the outline, a certain meme came to mind and it made me smile. Anyone who puts it in the comments will get many a bro-hoof.
Really hope that this one turns out how I imagined it, and that it was worth the extra wait. We still have some important loose-ends to tie up before the end. See you then!

One caveat ponies do have is being nigh unbendable and unbreakable in beliefs (exception is twilight and a few others), though this is mostly due to cognitive misery (just like most people!). Well...point to humans I guess, takes a lot less to have beliefs change (can be good or bad).
Have to admit, first time I've seen a fic where Discord kissed Twilight.
Just something to point out: Avoid using symbols like & in your fics. That's kind of a lazy author's way of writing... also rather distracting. Other than that, this is really interesting. Nice job.
I don't think I'm going to much like what's been done to Discord, am I?
