Though I must say my only complaint was the flavor for Rarity, it just seemed too plain and simple considering how Rarity is and what not. I guess I was just expecting something with some sort of pizzazz or something. All the flavors perfectly match the pony they represent except for Rarity's but all in all great stuff!

I would disagree as the fic did state that her flavor used a very complex and high grade of vanilla. Rarity should be something refined and elegant.

I know it says it is high grade vanilla that is used but it also says that it's something that most would not take note of or notice, which is something that Rarity is not. Out of all the mane 6 Rarity is the one who purposely goes out of her way to be noticed and stand out as much as possible. The high class vanilla isn't a bad idea but in my opinion it still needs something extra to push it over the edge and be as spectacular as the unicorn it represents and not just "the kind of a thing a lot of ponies would bypass as something they'd tasted a thousand times before"

I just noticed one small mistake. In the sentence "It was becoming clear to her that Luna had to be involved this." you are missing the word 'in' after the word 'involved.'

Maybe you have it the wrong way around.  Maybe it would take a refined high-class pony to appreciate the complexity and high-quality of the vanilla used. In that way, it can represent how 'simple' ponies ignore the subtleties of high-class, elegance, proper manners, and intricacies of civilized ponies. It could represent that no one but the most sophisticated of ponies appreciate her refined nature.

Seems like Celestia was the naughty one.

... I don't get it. It's well written, and... in my mind that's all it has going for it. I dunno, it just wasn't funny to me. But I won't downvote you, so no worries.

A pretty cute little story, but I was dissapointed there was no larger twist in the tale . Comedy is best when it subverts expectations, but nothing here really surprised me. In essence it was just a vehicle to chat about ice cream. A bit too straightforward for my tastes.

Regardless, it was well written and you got a laugh from me on the Molestia bit. Would have been a nice lead in to something bigger, but what you have was nice and cute, so that's fine too.

I think that It's a perfect fit. Think back to the first time you watched the show, what was your initial reaction to rarity? most likely it was something along the lines of "Oh, there's that girly girl character we've seen a million times before." but as the show progressed our appreciation for her grew as we realized she's more than just another girly girl, she's the real deal.

Very nice story!  I just had an idea for a small sequel where Celestia and Luna dig deeper into the ice-box and find Celestia and Luna flavored popsicles!

No, it can't be...a Discord-flavored popsicle?  *licks*  Hmm, cotton-candy and chocolate milk and...uck, black pepper and soap!  Who in their right mind would make a popsicle like this?  Though, Discord is very much so NOT in his right mind, so to speak, so I suppose that's fitting....

Celestia's popsicle: Orange, grapefruit, lemon...and bananas?  

Luna's popsicle: Black-currant, black raspberry, with a bit of lime.  Often dark and brooding, but with a hint of cheerfulness.

Yeah, that has no relevance whatsoever to my criticisms. In fact it highlights my problem with the story. Its title hints at a big misunderstanding (such as 'tasting the mane 6') that would have been great comedy, but the actual content is just a list of icecream flavours. Kinda cute but fairly insubstantial.
