I gotta say, I've always wanted to write a story like this. What would a real horse or pony think about Equestria anyway? That sounds more interesting than HiE, in my opinion.

That said, I was disappointed. Way too short, man! The horse was gone way too quickly. Also, I don't get the logic of AJ bringing an animal she thinks is dangerous into Ponyville

Very nice! I tend to like portrayals of Celestia as being somewhat comically evil.

Would like to see the idea of a horse visiting Equestria (or, rather, escaping Celestia's prison) expanded upon.

Incidentally, I did notice a double negative that seemed unintentional.

"Winona wasn’t afraid of hardly anything."

Which would be to say that she is afraid of most things.

I thought of this multiple times. Glad to see someone got the courage to do it.

Rather nice, though I imagine that real horses would be sort of like the Equestrain version of Bigfoot. Big odd looking versions of ponies who aren't intelligent but much stronger than normal ponies.

Or, considering how Celestia and Luna look in comparison to normal ponies, once could mistake a horse for a Princess... so long as you don't expect it to say or do anything intelligent. The lack of a cutie mark would also be a dead giveaway.

Hmm... I suppose one could toss out a theory that Celestia and Luna are in fact hybrids of Equestrian ponies and horses. If horses are like an ancient race of giants (imagine the giants from Skyrim) then a hybrid offspring could inherit the larger size of the horse which results in increased strength, magical ability, and all sorts of genetic weirdness (since Equestrian ponies have three different races, two of which have horns and wings, then a hybrid of a pony and a horse could get both horns and wings due to the DNA getting all mixed up).

Result: Ponies discover a normal horse, Celestia finds out, then she gets rid of it to keep anyone from finding out that the reason that she's an alicorn was that her father got drunk one night and had an affair with some ancient pony version of Bigfoot a few thousand years ago.

Celestia's big scheme will become unraveled, something like that. I'm not sure whether to make the horse good or bad. Good would make more sense as a follow up to this story, but I could do a lot more with a funny (unrelated) story where a real horse escapes Celestia's prison and wreaks havoc in Ponyville. Hmm... what do you think?

Well, elements of both could make for the best comedy. (i.e., the horse is basically good but still wreaks quite a bit of havoc.) That might work on both levels since it could follow this story and evil-tyrant Celestia is pretty funny.

One important question is whether or not the horse is intelligent (sapient) or if it''s really just a dumb animal. The latter could be a great running gag.

Anyways, just ideas. This story has great potential!

A real horse in MLP? Shit....I'm ready. I love this idea though, though so of disappointed that it could not talk to the ponies and that any of the other animals were not brought in....hoping to see more, Mag, you always do very well with the stories you write, peace.

I had a very similar idea, three-part story. Such a pity that I have writer's block, though.
