I've used the testicle version to describe a combination of humiliation and defeat. Basically I used it because it SOUNDS ultimate and total. The very gender-specific organs of power (in a cultural context) are shriveling in terror or defeat, as though draining the owner of their might. I included ovaries because there are a LOT of mares in Equestria, and some of them can be bullies.

I know the story needs a villain, by why do people always use Filthy Rich when they need a rich jackass to harass the main characters of the story?  The one time he was really given lines in the show he was portrayed as being the exact opposite.

That aside, yet another great chapter for a great story.  Shit's about to get real I think.  Now I really, REALLY want to know what happens next.

And making Filthy Rich an asshole towards the maincharacter HAVE been overused (like Aziraphael pointed out), but in this case.... I think he's just xenophobic bigot, which makes it ok in my books to use him in that fashion.

What Lightning needs to do is tell Scootaloo.  Scootaloo will then tell Applebloom, who will tell Granny Smith, who will have a few words with Filthy.  Problem solved.

Problem with that is Filthy Rich and Granny Smith are in a business relationship. He doesn't need the the product the Apple family makes because he has a department store, that's what I think he owns anyway. On the other hand the Apples need the money they get from Filthy. They can't go against him because losing him as a business partner would put a dent in their profits and possibly cause the Apples to lose the farm.

Filthy's using a legal route. None of the others can get involved because this isn't just a personal problem anymore now that the court system's involved. As bad as it sounds Filthy's completely within his rights to challenge Lightning on her legal custody of Scootaloo because of the method Lightning used to get said custody. And even though Lightning's kind of a hero the Princesses can't get involved because they're the rulers of a nation and can't show favoritism  to subject with this type of problem. If Lightning got royal help then others would want it too. It's all politics.

I can see this working in their favor though...a natural reaction from Scootaloo at the thought of losing her new family, leading to her trying to find a way to save it herself, which would show that she is better off with the changelings to the court.

Hmmm, I admire Scoot's courage and initiative...but breaking in still seems like a bad idea.

Also I get the distinct feeling that Diamond Tiara is going to be an ally in this endeavor rather than an enemy. She seemed legitimately confused and...unsympathetic...to her fathers scheme. If I'm right that's awesome! I like it when Tiara and Spoon aren't total jerks all the time.
