Right before the big Canterlot Wedding, Twilight Sparkle makes a 'false' accusation against 'Princess Cadence.' Abandoned by her friends, teacher, and brother, the heartbroken pony experiences conflicting feelings of guilt and anger. Seizing this opportunity, Chrysalis takes in the fragile unicorn as her protege for her plan to plunge Equestria in darkness and chaos. With the Elements useless and the world being torn apart, how can Princess Celestia and the Elements possibly undo the damage they could've so easily prevented? And will Twilight be able to push away the darkness, or lose herself to it?
Note: Alternate Universe because of a few....'secrets' certain characters have, as well as obvious other reasons.

See this is what I didn't understand about the rest of the mane 6, in lesson zero they said that they should take others feeling more seriously and they turn around and brush off her concerns in the royal wedding like it was nothing which almost ended up destroying Equestria in the process.

Oooo, I'd wondered why no one took this AU and ran with it yet.
I thought there would be more fics about what would of happened if Twilight left or turned against them for their disbelief. Hoped there'd be some about the make-up amongst the mane six, or even with Celestia. There was the whole "whoops, we should've listened and we're about to lose Twilight, so we're extremely sorry' in Lesson Zero. The finale's consequence was being conquered by the changlings, possible enslavement, etc etc. I guess it had to be pushed aside to make room for the happy ending and all.

Well, at least you changed something I always hated in the show. Twilight was falling for the lies, so why did the changeling Queen send her to the real Cadence and ruin everything?!
