Not a brony.

T

For a typical brony, getting transported into the mystical land of Equestria would be a dream come true!

Well, that's fine and dandy and everything, except when that happens to Trip, who isn't exactly a fan of My Little Pony. In fact, he kind of hates it.

But things never work out the way he wants them to, anyway. Soon, he faces the tough reality of unreality, and finds out how hard it actually is to exist inside of a children's cartoon.

This story description has the word 'brony' in it.

I'm going to regret reading this, amn't I?

Hm? What is this I see?
Interesting, original plot?
Relatable, fleshed-out characters?
Realistic characterization and interaction?
Attention to detail, use of literary devices and an overall excellent grammar?

My god, I congratulate you on making an HiE story that isn't automatically awful. Good luck keeping it that way, I mean it.

Great take on the relm between life and death. I see cultural references of huge trees representing diferent realities. Our non-brony should be glad he didn't get sucked into a more dire place like one where a nuklear apocolypse took place or something worse.

 Very good, I'm enjoying this so far. Keep up the good work!

did trip's sister have cancer? i hate how chemo makes you lose your hair, mine is still growing back.

This is looking good so far, keep it up :D
:moustache:

I'd have to admit, I actually laughed at those last few sentences.

(golf claps for Trip)

I can't tell, the guards confirm that the protagonist has a cutie mark however the narrator has not confirmed any pony aspects of him. Is the protagonist a pony and he doesn't know it or is his 'cutie mark' a tattoo or something and hes still human?

Excerpt from the end of chapter 3.
' "You are not possible! What the h... What ARE you?"
"I'm no different than you!" It yelled, starting to cry.
"That's a f... ugh! That's a lie if I've ever heard one! I'm not a f-talking horse!"
It closed its eyes and screamed. "Well you sure look like one to me!" '

(Just read all the chapters at once)

Well, this story gets my Canadian rating of : Renjoy it!

Renjoy it means that you should read it and enjoy it at the same time! AMAZING !

1077695 so, you watch the completionist? also canada ftw.

This chapter needs some slight rewriting, with bits at the beginning and hand where you say things like hands or feet, instead of hooves or... well hooves. Still glad to read some more though

Thank you for noticing. It's hard for me to notice such things, as I'm not accustomed to using words like 'hoof'.

Wow this story seems to be a little more interesting now XD. It's like since Trip is now a background pony, if he attempts to disturb the events of a moment of screen time, he gets in a shit storm :rainbowlaugh:

Uh oh...
Celestia is requesting them.
Hid' yo' kids and hid' yo' wife.

i like it and first

I wonder if I'm gonna hate celestia by the end of this.:trixieshiftleft:

You put these out so fast I cant keep up! TOO MANY FAVORITED STORIES! I also hope everyone doesn't treat Trip like crap in this story too much. Too many HiE stories have that.

Well, luckily for you, I'm going on a short hiatus cause my editor is taking a vacation.
And as for Trip, I think you have to worry more about the author treating him like crap then ponies.

EDIT: Also, being able to find out when a chapter updates is as simple as unfavoriting every other story you currently have favorited except for this one. And then telling all your friends about this one. And also by sending me money.

Carrots are the devil's food!:trollestia:

One question: How did Celestia get back to Equestria?

So our world is connected to all the others yes? VERY cool. I bet the world of fallout 3 is probably only stone's throw away from our tree. Maybe 'worlds' of star wars, lord of the rings, elder scrolls, marvel comics ect are out there too! So awsom:rainbowkiss:e!

>Implying Trip's life is miserable.
>Implying Trip has suicidal thoughts and nearly kills himself with a knife.
>Trip accidentally gets into a car wreck which kills himself.

Seems legit. :trollestia:

...continue...

What relevance does this dream have? Why does Trip keep having these dreams about snakes?

1330667
Well, according to Freud, Trip dreams about snakes as a method for him to discover his one true love in life. Penis.

Ooo...Float! I like that!

I Haven't Read It Yet, But I See That You Put Out Chapters Quite Often, Perhaps It'll Be Fun. :pinkiehappy:

This chapter is much better than the others in content so far, because it touched on an emotional level. It showed that Trip isn't just being a cynical douche about this whole experience, but he's also scared about everything. For touching up on that, kudos

(oh, and you should probably try to fix some of the grammar errors/mistypes at the end.)

I'm guessing that Trip just left Equestria and what his dream in the last chapter meant by losing something were the ponies he cared about in Equestria. :trollestia:

... this ended rather abruptly. That's all I can say, really.

I kinda agree with Jack. Celestia just brings them into the castle, then Trip has a few personal revelations and is back to reality. It seems a bit of a random stop and it could have probably gone on further, but whatever, I guess :applejackunsure: .

I really liked the story though

:moustache: :moustache: :moustache: :moustache:

991127 wow. So your a survivor? I'm sorry that must have been terrible going through that.

Wow, no comments on this chapter? I thought it was surreal as fuck, and I liked it. Good job sir!

I think my comment back in chapter two sums up how I feel about this story pretty well. Surreal as fuck. But god damn did I enjoy it. It's a shame this story has received so little attention.

The symbolism was intriguing and the characters were compelling, but the plot was holeier than swiss cheese. I guess it was worth reading. Still feels unsatisfying though, somehow.

I missed somethings... What kind of pony is trip, what're his colors, and is his cutie-mark a row of books?

Weird but cool. I'm guessing the bigger tree was... well, it's kind of obvious.

This story should get more attention, though. It's very intresting.
