Dream Theater, one of the greatest progressive metal bands who ever existed, encounters a strange phenomenon when they're transported to the land of Equestria in the middle of one of their shows.
Despite assistance from the princesses, the earliest they can return to Earth is within a few days minimum. Thankfully, the ponies do the best they can to accommodate their strange new guests, who soon become their friends.

Also, Luna fangirling is just the cutest thing.
Absolutely spot-on characterization. All throughout, actually, but especially that moment.

YES! I WAS RIGHT! Well, kind of. I don't know why I included Marble and Maud in that prediction. Did I forget that Maud hadn't been invented yet and Marble hadn't been revealed to be shy yet? Yes. Yes, I did. Anyway, MyShy is new best ship!
It's too bad that this story won't be continuing, but on the other hand, this does seem like an alright place to end it.
You got Myung's and Fluttershy's relationship taking off, Jordan getting a gig, Petrucci in his natural habitat, James just kind of doing whatever, as James does, and Mike concluding the story with what we all would probably say in the same scenario.
