I see where you might be going with this, but the dialogue seems a bit too rushed, and his demeanor to the sea ponies changes at almost a blink of an eye. Just work a bit on the tempo of the story.

I always find it odd how people from other countries throw every Australian slang word they know( that hasn't happened here but the slang is still kind of too common) into how the Australian character they have written speaks and then call us incomprehensible
