If Anything Could Happen, we'd be able to see Discord crashing through the wall while riding on Steven Magnet and not even care as to why.
Which, naturally, we aren't going to, because even though the setting itself is Fantasy, there are in-universe justifications for why things are so. There are theoretical explanations for basically everything you mentioned, and none of them actually require the rough logical equivalent of "A Wizard Did It." Or " Just Use Your Imagination." If you have to fall back on that sort of argument to explain something, you may want to rethink how you're handling a given element of your story.
It's a relatively minor issue and probably a simple fix in this event. You could easily have Daylight hold the watch up to the more-sensitive snout or somesuch in order to read the Braille on it, as opposed to the unwieldy and insensitive hoof.

I never really thought of it as an issue, seeing as how the ponies' hooves are round, and the watch is round, so he could just place his hoof straight over the watch and it would basically be an imprint. From that he could get a mental image of the watch, feeling the different braille numbers and which hand is pointing to what.
I dunno. I'm not gonna argue the capabilities of blind ponies' hooves on braille. Maybe it's all about how you imagine he reads it, eh?

you seems to be assuming that the ponies of Equestria have hooves exactly like those found on equines in our world. We've seen them flex their hooves in the show ( although not to any extreme degree), so it's not beyond reason to think that Pony hooves aren't as rigid and lacking tactile sensitivity as the variety we're more familiar with. That and a hoof isn't just be big block of keratin, there are sensitive portions on the underside you know, even on this worlds horses.

This story is being told after-the-fact, so Daylight has information of what happened pieced together from his family and friends as well. This is good because it provides at least a bit of visual description, which is pretty much required in every story
