A crime/detective and noir-style story from the somber streets of Canterlot, where there lie many secrets in the shadows of the alleyways. A lone pegasus named Valiant Steed and his brother are left in the care of their passing parent's old friend and practically family member, Seamus Gumhoof. A rouge detective who's the best to come out of Trottingham. While the brothers are living with him, they tend to take care of the house while Gumhoof goes on detective duty. What will happen when Valiant's brother, Noble, gets kidnapped and Gumhoof isn't around? A mad chase and tale linking up with the most dangerous factions in Equestria will test the bravery and courage of the young colt. Will Valiant succeed in finding his brother as well as others he loves? Will he use Gumhoof's wisdom and advice from the years living with him? Only time will tell.
This is a prequel to another fiction of mine, "Son of Eternity", but you DO NOT need to read it in order to understand or enjoy this story. It takes place five years before "SoE" and none of the mane six or the main character of "SoE" will be present in this story. However, familiar faces from the show will be recognized throughout the fiction. The fiction itself will be separated into Five Acts. Each Act will be very long (Over 10k words each) and will be separated by long intermissions of time. It will be updated and completed eventually, but I want this fiction to be soaked in slowly and enjoyed by my readers gradually since each Act will be cram packed full of story.
