A little something written for a college assignment where we are to write from the viewpoint of an inanimate object. This is supposed to be a curveball to those who aren't familiar to MLP as it draws them into something without knowing what it is.

The statue in Twilight's library has been there for longer than most ponies can remember and has watched over the library for decades. We are given a look into what this statue sees and its opinion on its observations.

(This is my first story, so please be gentle. If, you know... it's ok with you...)

I sit still on a wooden desk as the hands of my owner march upon my keyboard, franctically typing some unknown words.

"Haha, that's pretty creative. Could do with being a little longer, but since this was for an assignment, I guess you probably had some guidelines.

Interesting piece, for sure."

He pauses for a moment, staring at my screen. Through my camera, I can see the glare reflecting in his glasses. He ponders for a moment, staring at the emoticons, searching for one that would clearly express his feelings. Finally, he reaches for the mouse and clicks.

With a final movement of the mouse and a press of the submit button, my work here will be done, and we shall move on to other issues, perhaps that homework he has been procrastinating for hours.

The only hiccup for me was the following sentence:

This is more of a style choice, so its not technically wrong.
Very well written assignment Andy, I thoroughly enjoyed it. :pinkiehappy:

52525Yeah, I wanted to change up a little there. Thanks for the appreciation.

Confound these ponies.. Ahahah
Sweet one-shot, I'd be interested in a flashback (I'm thinkin' Sepia-hue and everything) of the previous librarian&friends.. It'd be fun to see parallels in the mane6 and this retro group (retro6-ish..?).

52814Maybe the G1 ponies?

I really enjoyed reading this, and I hope to see more!
