Scootaloo and her friends have long been crusading for their cutie marks, but after a long string of failures, Scootaloo is more desperate than ever. Desperate enough to try something as namby-pamby as - ugh - dancing. Will Scootaloo find that dancing's more fun than she expected, or will she end up once again covered in tree sap? Read this to find out!

Awww, such a cute and nice story.
Good job mate, good job.

Ohhhh yeah first comment and awsome story you really got the personallities

(sorry for my awful spelling) :twilightblush:

I liked it! From what happened in show stoppers, I thought Scoot already was a good dancer and liked it, because everyone assumed she would be the dancer during the proformance, but this story was still really cute. I like it a lot.

My understanding of that episode (which led to this story) was that she was good at it, because she spent so much time on her scooter, but would rather do something more "awesome", like singing a rock ballad. This type of dancing, though, is totally girly, and not something she would normally have any interest in. :scootangel:

That was... great. You really showed this well, and there's definitely room for a sequel or for it to stand on its own. Congrats on the EqD!

Nice job dude!
It's an incredibly simple and easy read, but captivating and sweet.
:scootangel:

Interesting, very interesting. I suppose there's no law saying names have to coincide with talents and/or marks.
The personalities were well done, very true to canon. Short, sweet, simple.

Thumbs up from me! Very well-paced and interesting. :)

Aww, that was such a sweet story.

Daww! Super cute! I do hope she doesn't limit herself to this sort of dance. I definitely see interpretive dance as her thing!

This is great! You captured Scootaloo's personality quite well.

Heartfelt and genuine. I liked it a lot. It would follow that the other CMC members should get a chapter, if you could be prevailed upon to create.

Thanks a lot! I'm already working on the Apple Bloom chapter, and Sweetie Belle will get her own afterwards. I may also write a Part 2 to this story, as I think there's still more to be said for Scootaloo and her fashionable dancing cutie mark. :scootangel: I'm also sad that Scootaloo only gets one emote here. Fortunately, it's a fairly appropriate one. Once I get to responding to comments on my Apple Bloom story, things will become more difficult indeed.

This should be an episode. I can't offer any higher praise than that.

5/5 stars.

This was one sweet sweet story, for a moment there i could actually see Scootaloo dancing, it was gorgeous.

Thank you very much.

I love this story.
I was reminded of this picture by CSImadmax.

I second kovabomb_pony's suggestion about additional stories/chapters for the rest of the CMC.

Really cute story! It's believable, the characters are done well... :scootangel:
I'd love to see a couple sequels where Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle get their marks.

Wait...You didn't see the entire thing in your head? Oh my...
Good story though. look forward to the sequels.

Quite by accident, I was listening to Dance, Soterios Johnson, Dance while reading this. It worked well.

Very nicely done, I hope canon Scoots realizes her talent herself one day.

This was quite adorable : )

Loved it! Very cute!

I can seriously see this as being an actual episode.

Please tell me this have a hide "to be continued...":pinkiehappy:

Awesome story! And I'm glad to hear you're doing stories for the other two as well.

Y'know it's funny. But this is the second story I've read with Scootaloo getting a dancing cutie mark. I kinda hope she gets one in the series too.

That was a good name for the instructor "Cielo de Flores" is "Sky of Flowers for those who didn't understand it at first., his name was 'exotic' and latinish, kind of what you sometimes expect a dance instructor to be like.
Also good story, Scootaloo needs more attention :pinkiehappy:

I had been thinking of a fic like this myself! It's good to see it written! :scootangel: I can't wait for the next two stories and the sequel...hmm, maybe Scootaloo's new dance lessons will have a pair of flank pains whose initials are DT and SS?

Really, no one in the comments is dancing? I am disappointed in you internetz :trixieshiftleft:

HAHA! VERY WELL THE CROWD WILL BE LEFT BAMBOOZLED BY THE SHEER AMOUNT OF DANCING

♪we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind, cause if your friend don't dance and if they don't dance, well their no friends of mine♪

This was adorable!!:scootangel:

Nicely done!

I'm so glad I finally read this, not because I can finally take it off my Read Later list (although it DOES help to have a smaller number.) It's not because dancing is an under-appreciated art form, where I'm from (although there IS a severe lack of dancers in my area.) And it's not because the world needs more Scootaloo (although it HAS been scientifically proven that the state of the universe is directly proportional to the current amount of Scootaloo in existence.)

I'm glad I read this story simply because it was simply amazing. It was so compelling and so immersive in such a short amount of time, and I was honestly feeling elated as the story built up to Scootaloo finally getting her cutie mark.

I loved it. So much.

Yay a cutie mark for scootaloo that doesn't have a scooter or wings. I liked it

1084963 Just imagine how many amazing dances she'll be able to do once she can fly!

Oh yes, a cutie mark that has nothing to do with flying or riding her scooter. It was obvious in season 1 that she could dance. Of course, her cutie mark could be doing tricks on her scooter, I guess I like the idea that Scootaloo's special talent is dancing due to that episode.

A cutie mark.

Daww! Scootaloo got her special talent! It's so beautiful!:pinkiesad2:
