Twilight always thought that being able to send the Princess her letters instantaneously through Spike's fire breath was the best thing in the world. Instant correspondence with her mentor and secret crush could never be a bad thing, right? Unfortunately, Twilight has a habit of writing her secrets down on flammable materials. Now her secret's out, so what's a panicky unicorn to do? Panic, obviously!
Definetly deserves to be featured.
Jarringly good dialouge. Quote time!
"But if you never talk to her then you'll never be able to tell her what you've learned about friendship," said Pinkie, "and if you never tell her anything else about what you've learned about friendship, then eventually when the Nightmare Moon lifeform takes over another host and teams up with Gilda and Trixie to take control over all of Equestria and we have to dust off our Elements of Harmony and perish bravely trying to fight back then you won't be able to use your magic to absorb all the elements from our broken corpses and ascend to godponyhood and take Celestia's place as the raiser of the sun and save all of ponydom from the creeping darkness that devours the magic of friendship! And that will mean the end of cupcakes forever, Twilight! The END of CUPCAKES! FOREVER!"
I absolutely loved this! It was hysterical and expertly written, and you captured Twilight and Pinkie and their lovable neuroses so very well! 
It was also very heartwarming and fuzzy at the end...d'awww.
A couple brief comments:

Also: Pinkie talking about never having worn an outfit before...so does this predate the GGG?

We'll have to agree to disagree on Fluttershy's colors though, I've always thought she looks exactly the shade of yellow you get from a cup of banana pudding. And yeah, this fic was actually written... after Winter Wrap-up aired? Yikes. So yeah, predates the GGG by a good margin. A bit of very old headcanon went into this one, it's been interesting to see how it stacks up to the show as the world building evolves.

Very cool story, the whole awkward diary thing was hilarious, especially alluding to it's contents and how Twilight was expecting a Kind and Understanding reaction. It fits and was still an inverse of how she normally reacts to her teacher being disappointed. Also, I loved that portrayal of Fluttershy, what a brilliant comedic twist. For how funny the story was leading up to the end, it took a decidedly sober turn towards sweet. It was nice, but I was hoping for more of a bang at the end.
New Twilestia story?!
Ahhh... a Twilestia story with a good ending. Nothing makes my day better.
This story is finally on FimFiction! YAY!
This is one of my all-time favorite twilestia stories. Has been since I read it on EQdaily over a month ago. I think I've read it like 10 times by now. So, yeah. I'm going to stop now before I gush any more. Anyway, great story, and I'd love to see a sequel.

This fanfic's been on a couple of websites, actually. It's probably the same one you saw on ff.net, it's just that I'm only now getting around to posting it here.
Pinkie's rant references a couple of fan ideas that were particularly popular back in the day. Come to think of it, they're still pretty popular. She could easily have summarized like five or six different fanfics without me realizing it.
Sequel, you say? Hmmm... now there's an idea...
Its good to know it might have been on FF.Net one time or another since I'm pretty much every Author there are pulling out there Fic's each and every Week when the Purge began over at that particular Site. Good to know you re-posted it here on FimFic for the most part allot of the good ones have begone to be deleted.

What? No really, what? I sat here for a few moments after I read that specific piece and just stared at it. What pudding? Chocolate? Vanilla? Tapioca? Then I read a previous comment and you said banana. I never thought of banana. I thought of Chocolate and vanilla and was just... 'wut?' So, yeah... specify pudding flavor next time? No? Okay...
There, crazy rant over. Here's your props. Don't know what you need a stilt, two sugar glass panes, a flamingo, and a chicken for.... but whatever.
The story awesome and down right funny as hell, I was laughing so hard I was doing this

Ah, this was hilarious.
When I read the description, I thought "This sounds vaguely familiar..." and I only remembered it afterwards.
As such, you got two sets of loud genuine laughing from me.
I only have a decently loud genuine laugh about three times a year, if it gives you an estimate of how amusing this story is.
Oh I remember reading this way back in the day. A very good Twilestia fic by all accounts. And it has aged surprisingly well. Especially love the dialogue in this one. I'll have to echo the desires of the previous comments and kindly request a sequel! (Might I suggest Twilight saving Celestia from a bunch of dragons and making furious love to her on a mountaintop during a thunderstorm? I'd read that.)
Just wanted to say that this was awesome to read again! I remember reading this back on FanFiction, and I'm glad that it's made it here. I actually have an idea for the sequel, if you do one. It would take place at the GGG and shows the deepening relationship of Twilestia.

I remember this too! I like it then and I liked it now. And now I know where my memories of "... so it's more like the opposite then?" and "If you're scared of talking to her then all you have to do is not say anything and eventually things will get so awkward that she'll just leave" come from, so that's a plus.

No, I'm sorry, but no. Maybe I've been corrupted by Eternal et al, but a story that would've been fine over 40,000 words feels rushed over 4,000. I just don't believe the characters go on this journey, over this period. Or alternatively, if the journey they've gone on is primarily off-screen, then you've 'buried the lead', and not really written the story you were trying to write. Anyway, I'm obviously the only guy who thinks that, so, don't worry about it!

My personal favorite lines:
"Spi~ike! This is no time to be flippant! This is a time for panic! Frothing, screaming, flailing panic!"

"I think my liver would be a grape. I don't know why."
"If the princess comes and finds out I broke Twilight she'll give me her 'I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed' look! The last time she gave somepony that look the guards all manured themselves!"
Pinkie's rant on Twilight absorbing the Elements of Harmony from the other 5 of the Mane 6's corpses and becoming a goddess.

I love this! Always enjoy a good Twilestia fic, and this one certainly didn't disappoint, I just have one error to point out
