Dalkrin-the-Wanderer

E

Luna's been feeling down ever since her return. Nightmare Night was great, but it did little to help her mood. Talking a walk through nighttime Canterlot, she meets a pony who lives in a broken cart in the lower district. What will she make of this, and what will happen now?

So, here's a question. Should I do a romance story, or just a friendship story? It's still kinda up in the air at this point.

Criticism and comments welcomed and encouraged.

Romance!

It gets you views too.

Romance....don't let the class difference come between them :D

OK you asked for it . My personal take of Luna is that she is at this time one of the most lonely ponies in Equesteria. She can get all the “romance” she wants with just the slightest indication of interest. Wined. Dined, Sweet talked and whatever else she wants.
What I think she needs are friends, not the type who want something from her and are just using their “friendship” to get it. But someone who will accept her as she is now. Maybe at a later date the old stallion could be shown to have a skill that she could bring out that would allow him to change his way of life on his own. Possibly carving, antique restoration, fine furniture construction????
Will follow to see where you go with this.

romance would be nice

900725 up to you, however romance is what hooks me to story the most. As long it is not instant, like *first meet- OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU FOREVER*

That is what annoys me the most if I come across that in any stories, also have the problem realistic and sensible. I also like when the romance is gradual, of them realizing why they love each other. What kind of problem they would face together- in this case- royality being with "lower class" pony. Incorporate the emotional problem that this stallion would have (having no family, no friends, or whatever) with Luna going through similar thing.

Just throwing out ideas for you to use, don't ever let readers tell you how to write your story- it is yours to write and end.

Good luck! Tracking/favoriting this story for good measure of encouragement. :ajsmug:

If you play your cards right, this can be a friendship story that allows for a romance sequel.

Although I have to admit, the idea of lonely Luna with (finally!) a very special somepony has lots of potential.

In all honesty, I'd go with friendship.
Yeah, romance could turn out well, but I've found that romance always tends to go in the same direction, while friendship can have a much deeper and more touching approach ~ and the innocent fluffy endings are always more FiM-esque than the 'ily4evrk' ones, if only by a little :/. Probably not what every comment above thinks, but hey, just my two bits XD

... Plus there are SO MANY Luna X Commoner fics out there that I don't even X_x
(Following either way :v)

Friendship. Two reasons.

One - it's truer to the "feel" of the MLP:FiM.

Two - I feel the best "romance" stories are "friendshipping" first. The chemistry of a good friendship makes romance easy.

Updateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

(also I would say, gradually from friendship to romance).

4102642 *repeats this* Haha

I wonder if this would ever be updated? Just curious
