I certainly will! I've been writing one chapter a day since I started this, I sorta can't help myself. It was just a random idea I typed up out of boredom one night to get my desire to write out of my system since I was too tired to focus on anything important but wanted to write too much to just let myself go to sleep. Then I thought I'd try to submit it to this site, just to kind of figure out how the site works as well as just to see if it would make anyone laugh. Next thing I know I'm typing a page or two every morning and every night, and laughing like a mad man while I do so! I still need to work on my other non MLP based stories though, and that MLP CYOA story I've had in my head for a while, but I'll get to them in between randomly typing up this story in a crazy half-asleep fashion!

Ya know the episode "Feeling Pinkie Keen", or whatever the name of it is, when Twilight freaks out over the whole Pinkie Senses thing?

The cuffs are part of the machine Pinkie was hooked up on during that episode for a short time. Assuming she slipped her hoofs out of them because of her warping reality powers, and assuming that near the edge of their hooves is roughly the same size as a human fist, I figured it'd be possible to slip your hands out of them provided you didn't mind the tight squeeze and risking cutting your hand on the metal...At least, that was my train of thought when I wrote that chapter shortly after waking up for the day after a five hour nap.

I can't promise I won't go into cliches, there are a ton more than what I can keep track of, and I honestly don't know much about how most HiE fanfics go. I'm pretty much just writing whatever I think will move the story forward while being hilarious, occasionally at Kevin's expense. The particular ones I guess that bug me are the ones you see in a whole bunch of HIE stories that make those stories seem formulaic.   As long as you keep up good characterization for your characters and don't turn them one-dimensional, I don't think youll have that problem.

Oh, and throw in some cringe moments. I guess I'm mildly sadistic, but I love to see main characters get beat up emotionally/physically (in a comedic fashion).  Helps me empathize.

I'll try my best not to make the characters one dimensional, characterization has always been a difficult thing for me. I'm always much better at explaining things like a history book, and a bit better if it's from my own kind of perspective (Though I suppose I'm doing the latter here, Kevin Wright is a shameless self insert. ).

As for cringe moments, I'm not sure how many there'll be. I don't want to spoil things, but you might have to hang in there for an extra chapter or two before any more physical harm or mental breakdowns occur...

Chapter five has just been finished! I can't wait to show you all! I'm only restraining myself because I'm thinking it will work a bit better to post one chapter a day, that way I can write at a more relaxed pace and have a few chapters done ahead of time in case something happens where I won't be able to write for a while. If I post everything at once I'm likely to start procrastinating a ton on writing any more chapters...

Maybe I shouldn't try to explain or develop a thought process for sending chapters in at two thirty in the morning. Heck, maybe I shouldn't have been working on a fanfic at two in the morning. I can't really remember what I just wrote. Here's hoping it's coherent and makes sense!

The only major problem with my whole laughing nigh uncontrollably at my work, is that I usually work til really late at night, and my job is to walk around a parking lot getting carts. This wouldn't be too much of a problem, but in the winter, when I'm wearing a black hoodie and other winter gear so that my face is covered up aside from my glasses which are always fogged by my breathing, and it's late and really dark and I'm laughing really loudly for no reason then run up and go "Oh do you  want me to take that cart for you?" to anyone I see almost done unloading groceries, well...People tend to look at you like and slowly back away.

Not to mention the time I forgot to wear my badge and vest, the only things signifying that I'm an employee there, and I just stood behind an old lady and patiently waited for her to finish unloading her groceries before speaking. I was still in my full winter gear that day, and apparently she didn't hear me coming. She jumped when I spoke and said she nearly had a heart attack. I just stood there like and thanked them for the cart before walking off, and two seconds later started laughing uncontrollably again.

My co workers have specifically stated that they want me to stop doing that, and I tell them I'll try, but thinking "don't laugh" just makes me think of things to laugh about...

I can't do shipping, heck, I don't even know if I can get the mane six personalities down all that well, but we'll find out when I introduce them around chapter six or so. I was planning on bringing them in at chapter five but one of the only things I can remember when I wrote that chapter was that my brain went "lawls nope" to introducing them just yet and went down a bit more serious path near the end.

As for starting a new paragraph when someone speaks, I suppose I'll start doing that around chapter six. I've separated the paragraphs a bit more than when I first typed them up, but it'll take me a bit of time to get into the habit of breaking my paragraphs up that much. It just feels REALLY odd whenever I break paragraphs like that during a conversation, and I've been slowly trying to get used to doing it during chapters three, four, and five, with some sporadic level of success.

I have a feeling I won't be finishing that chapter til probably Sunday afternoon, which really stinks. I'd like to finish it now, but if I stay up any later I risk probably crashing too long to do anything more than be a few minutes late for work and move around in a daze for the entire day. Sorry, work took a lot out of me, and I've been fumbling with chapter six quite a bit. It isn't so much that I don't know what to put in the chapter, I just don't have the time or energy to type everything I want to put in the story. It's already at three thousand words, and I still have a few more things I want to throw in there before I'm ready to consider publishing it.

Also, would everyone be okay with me posting a chapter every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from now on? I know I don't really HAVE to follow a schedule with my updates on this thing, but I think it's the only thing that really gets me to work on it and not just sorta put it off indefinitely, but I also don't think I'll be able to keep up a chapter a day thing for much longer. Chapter six will certainly be finished by Monday no problem, but I have no idea about chapter seven.

At any rate. I got church in eight hours, and it currently hurts to possess eyelids and/or eyes, so Imma passing out for the night. Later!

Schedules are good for productivity, so go for it.

Lies are most effective with a dash of truth. It'd be pretty impossible to keep the fact from Sparkle that the main character's from a different world, so as long as he clams the buck up about the television show, that should work out for the best in my opinion. Plus, the revelation of alternate worlds should keep Sparkle's attention. Though, she probably won't forget him quoting Rarity, so he's still in some trouble there. Hah hah hah, foot in mouth syndrome is so amusing to read.

I wonder how this guy and Twilight gonna handle the situation! Anyway, still an awesome story , keep it up if you can!

Hahahahah I'm only just now working on the story after pausing Saturday night. I think all the short naps are starting to get to me, I've been in a daze half the time and yawning like three times an hour. That said though I'm not going to sleep until I finish chapter six and post it online around midnight, so Imma just have to stay up til it finishes, and then if I have any energy left I'll work on the next one!

Oh...My...Table...Flipping...Gosh...I was thinking I'd be finished by like nine, maybe ten. I JUST NOW FINISHED CHAPTER SIX. It's long enough for me to put into two chapters, and STILL have both of them be just slightly longer than any of the other chapters I've put up here. I have half a mind to do just that too, but I can't honestly get myself to do it. I typed it up as one chapter, I feel a very one chapter vibe from it, and I feel like the whole thing just wouldn't work as well if I tried to publish half of it today and half on Wednesday.

That said, I dunno how much of Chapter Seven I'll get done between here and one in the morning. Monday's pretty darn packed, and Tuesday and Wednesday don't look too good either. So how about this: I'll post the full chapter today, but there's no guarantee of a chapter seven til Friday. If I'm able to I'll post it on Wednesday, but I'm seriously not sure if I'll be able to.

Well, here it is! Oddly enough I'm actually getting a bit of a second wind, and I've almost got the first page of chapter seven done, which usually takes a good hour to do. Then again I HAVE been thinking about this chapter for a while, maybe I'll actually get it done before Wednesday!

My gosh this chapter was difficult though! I've had fanfiction ideas in my head since I saw all of season one, but I was so certain I wouldn't be able to really express the mane six and their personalities all that well, since character expression and development is pretty much my weakest area of writing, and I don't know what I was thinking throwing my skills at so many different characters in one chapter.

I eventually went back and had Dash and Spike leave the room when I realized I didn't have anything else I wanted them to say and didn't think they'd just stand there silently while everyone else talked, and I spent several minutes pacing around my room playing out different conversations and such in my head before deciding on which ones to throw in and how and when and such. Seriously this thing took a lot of energy, and I didn't even really reread it or check for spelling errors aside from the occasional backspacing a bit right after typing something wrong.

If this chapter's even half as awesome as I feel it is though, then I'm certain you all will enjoy it, it was tons of fun and I don't think I did too bad a job. This chapter also, hooves down, contains more words than any other story or list of story ideas I've ever written, and I've been scrawling ideas for different stories and making half chapters and such for YEARS. I don't think this is longer than all of those combined (hard to tell when I ended up losing 80% of it when this laptop crashed around Christmas) but this certainly beats any one story I've every typed up before!

It's actually something I've used for a while, it's pretty much Luna's the fun has been doubled joke combined with Rainbow Dash's Twenty Percent cooler.

See, the heart wrenching-ness of ponies on the computer is 100%, so you using the above jokes, you double it to 200%, then you'd increase THAT by 20%, which would actually be 40% of the original. Because 220% would actually just be 110% doubled. 240% is something not only becoming 20% more X, but the X is also doubled, where X is whatever the heck I'm using for the joke at that time...

So yeah...It's seriously not funny, and no one ever laughs at it, but honestly I love the joke so I'm always using it, causing my friends to facepalm, and then I laugh at their expense.

BTW halfway through the explanation I just gave, I switched the order of the jokes, because my brain usually goes Luna's joke and THEN RD's joke, but I just realized it makes much more sense the other way around...

So yeah, that's where 240% came from, let me know if I need to explain this with more sanity. I just got done reading like 50 pages of the Know Your Mare fanfic on here, and I'm tired, so I'm a little insane. Trust me though, all my jokes, my numbers, everything I use has a reason. What's so hard about that?

The problem is more than one part.  General nervousness.  A baby phoenix might light you on fire.  Rainbow Dash in your face.  Rarity make-over fail.  Performance anxiety while greeting the Princesses.  Worry about being banished to the moon for any or no reason.  Not being able to see because of damaged glasses.  General dorkishness (you're a Brony, right?).  On top of all that, the feeling of being completely lost, despite being in semi-familiar territory.

No big deal, and no pressure.

Oh, I get that.  I've had stories in progress take twists I hadn't expected; it's like the characters are trolling me, just because they can.

On the other hand, the twists have been interesting, even inspiring.  So I let them have their fun.  It's not like they're in charge or anything.

My hair can be a bit unruly when it gets longer as well. Taking a home-hair cutter personally to my head and buzzing most of it off normally fixes that.

Due to various issues at the current moment, Chapter seven won't be released til probably sometime tomorrow night, and the schedule will be changed for one chapter every week.

I'd explain in more detail, but I honestly don't have any detail, I've had some free time the past few days, but my desire to write seems to have hit a brick wall for the moment. I've been able to work on a bit or it each day, and I think I'm finally getting back into my groove of things, but I won't be finishing this chapter tonight I think.

Desire to write is back, ability to do so seems to have vanished. I don't even table flipping know any more. The past few days feel like they've been a total waste, and I'm only barely at the 1k word mark for chapter seven, and I haven't even written a single thing for any other project. Friends haven't been able to hang, and Anthropology finished, which was great, but none of my other fanfics I track seem to have updated...

I dunno everyone, things seemed to have frozen as far as my progress with anything is concerned, and I dunno how to get it back...I've been frustratingly trying to write for the past four hours, and yeah, not much luck...

This story I like. I actually narrated the first 5 chapters in a row to a friend of mine. My throat died out of laughter and speaking too fast.
