She's looking at you. Yes you. And she is judging you with her eyes. There is no escape.

This story is a sequel to Princess Twilight Sparkle and the Quesadilla Conquest

After getting a letter from Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle discovers that Sunset Shimmer and the Twilight from the other side of the mirror like to go on dates that involve checking each other out while they try on panties. Twilight Sparkle can't quite figure out what the big deal is, but decides that it might be fun to do with Pinkie Pie.

Of course, with Pinkie Pie, the unexpected should be expected.

An entry in the Weedverse.

Panties are very important, as anyone who's gone a-Xanthing knows.

It's a magical moment when the pink pronk with the badonkaponk gets her plot konked.

(More so when you get first view!)

“Why are you so interested and hung up on a nerdy, obvious virgin?”

Oblivious

“I wonder what your dad would look like in panties,” Pinkie Pie remarked aloud, disrupting Twilight’s thoughts.

Reminds me of Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka?

If this was coming from just about any other author on the site I would have skimmed past it with a resounding "NOPE." But, this is a Kudzu fic and a Weed fic, and thus it uses sexuality in order to develop mature relationships between it's characters. I wish more writers would use it that way, but alas.

Huzzah for Sunlight being canon in the Weedverse!

Not sure if Pinkie is sane enough for a threesome date yet?

7977075 I took it as an obvious virgin cause everyone else seemed to know it even though Twi didn't know they knew, you know?

7977097
>Pinkie
>Sane.
Gg, get rekt.

I think sunset should hve explained why they were doing wht they were doing beyond the obvious its fun. And now i want to read a story about the two of them starting that.

The third date was with Pinkie Pie again, and this time, they had gone out to the movies, something that Twilight and Pinkie had done many, many times in the past.

Making a big deal out of dating was just making mountains out of molehills. Twilight, feeling a bit miffed, started to think of Cadance as the princess of really fancy, overly-complicated friendship.

Only quoting this cause I found this gif, seemed fitting in my deranged Aussie way. (stop stirring Twily you two)

This was saucey and yet so terribly tasteful at the same time!

Ohh yay she relised her self!!

Great story! Really looking forward to more info on this trio in Gestation of Swans.

7977171

Um, this is six years after Gestations takes place. :derpytongue2:

7977178 son of a... how did I miss ** rethinks about Contest and this story. Fixes timeline in head**

Ugg I'm an idiot. Ok to rephrase I'm looking forward to Twilight babysitting Celestia and Gosling's children while exploring this new relashinship.

The way you wrote about the beginning stages of them being together was heartwarming.

So, I'm going to read this later. I don't have it in me to delve into the Weedverse tonight. But, just from the title and summary alone...

Goddammit, Kudzu. :facehoof:

7977281

Goddammit, Kudzu.

Two words that summarize so many stories so well. :pinkiehappy::facehoof:

*blinks in confusion*
...why is there a "Complete" tag here instead of an "Incomplete" one? This is CLEARLY Chapter One of a 3-5 chapter story, not a full story in-and-of-itself. :duck:

This is saucy and fluffy and I like it.

Love it!

Seville has been pining for Twilight all this time? Even when they were in Griffonstone together? What a gentlecolt...

If I had to guess, I would say Twilight is probably demisexual

This seems like it's a story that would be the opener for ANOTHER series, like it's too big to be chapter 1 of one of your stories, or a prologue, but it's introducing a bigger concept that you'd need to write another full series for.

7977691

So much so that she can only begin to feel genuine sexual attraction (Not to be confused with lust) years after knowing a pony.

Princess Cadance already knows this, and because Princess Cadance knows this, Princess Celestia knows this, hence Princess Celestia's advice to Seville to wait it out. "Stay with Twilight! Form a bond! Patience will be rewarded."

"Hey, my friend is kinda sexy..."

:trollestia: - Told you so.

Right up to the end, because Seville didn't really react through out most of the "show" I was thinking at the very end when Twilight asked, "What do you think?"

And he replies, "I think I'm gay." And then a large portion of Ponyville explodes. Though where would they banish Nightmare Magic to for 1000 years to cool off?

7977806

Um, Seville as a character is really, really fleshed out in The Perilous Romance of Swans.

It takes a lot to get him ruffled, and he tends to express himself with his camera more than anything else.

7977826
Being on a train with Gosling being one of the few things to get him ruffled quite quickly.

7977894

Seville suffers from an advanced form of siderodromophobia. After multiple train related incidents, he will not travel by train.

7977826

Wouldn't know, this is the first I've seen of him.

7977986

He was also in Princess Twilight Sparkle's School for Fantastic Foals. On the train. With Gosling. Suffering. Because one does not get on a train with Gosling, as Sumac and the others found out.

1. Godamnit Kudz. So much cringe in this!
2. Yay~ Twilight finnally will get some lovin.
3. HAHAHAHA
THIS WAS GLORIOUS!
4. I see 1 chapter story with an open ending... another one Kudz? Cant wait.

7978054

I can only hope my Spanish was acceptable. Hispanic though I might be, I can't speak it very well.

7978072 it works well enough. Although, there isn't really a translation for alicorns so what you have mostly works.

So, I have mixed feelings on this one. On the one hand, this was a delightful read with the stirring characterizations you're known for. On the other hand...

As I grow older, I realize how utterly creepy the likes of Steve Urkel are. And somewhere along the way, I became incredibly disillusioned with the whole "doggedly pursuing someone who's not interested" storyline, and the associated tropes. Like telling someone to be patient, that they'll be noticed eventually instead of moving on and finding someone who's actually interested. I dunno, it just makes me uncomfortable to think about. Though in this case it's offset by well-written characters and advice given based off an intimate knowledge of the person in question. I really don't know what to think here.

On the positive side, the premise is suitable absurd, and it's really nice to see Pinkie Pie start to bounce back. It's also heartwarming to see Twilight opening up more to the world around her in the way only Twilight can. I imagine the press will go nuts over another royal threesome, but I am very much interested in seeing where this goes for the three of them. I would especially like to see more of Seville. Maybe it's just because it's been awhile since I read The Perilous Romance of Swans, but I feel like I only kinda know him.

It's actually really, really refreshing to see a continuity with multiple characters on the ace spectrum. Between Twilight and Trixie confirmed, that's like, two more characters than most books/fics/media in general even consider!

Thank you for that! :pinkiehappy:

7978116

For ponies like Princess Cadance, love is seen as a physical challenge, or a mental one. And challenges are made to be met. :rainbowdetermined2: It is an entirely different dynamic at work here, one that is far more complicated than what we human beings face. In the Weedverse, love is entangled with destiny and fate. There are things that are meant to happen, and there are external forces that try to make those things happen. (Like Cadance!) The opposite is also true, outside external influences attempt to interfere and prevent things from happen. Everything is a tug of war, with hearts and love being the prize.

Without saying too much, Twilight is a pawn. A variety of external forces are trying to control her life. We already know that she is one of the selected champions. Anypony that develops an interest in her romantically is going to get drawn into a vortex of suck. Don't think of it as a long period of waiting, pining away, but more as a test of character to determine who is worthy.

In this instance, we have Seville and Pinkie Pie. And what do we know about earth ponies so far in the Weedverse? What are their defining characteristics? What are they known for? For better or worse, what are their stereotypes? What have all those little asides I include about the nature of earth ponies when I write about Maud or somebody else been saying?

There is a direction I am going and I have compelling reasons that I am still constructing and fleshing out.

I'm glad that the "fallout" you seemed to worry about didn't come, but this one was still a total miss for me.

Some of the descriptions just felt oddly unpleasant, the existing relationship dynamic was weird and the one it ends on even weirder, somehow.

From my perspective you might want to work a little on your descriptions of chubby ponies, I've read plenty of ChubbyPie in my time that sounds merely sincere, and lots of it that's quite flattering, but in this it almost sounded like you were making fun of Pinkie Pie.

The exception to all of this was:

Pinkie wiggled around as the fabric hugged her backside, and Rarity gave her a playful smack, causing her cupcake padded hindquarters to jiggle.
Twilight’s wings snapped out with a supersonic crack and she almost decapitated both Seville and Rarity.

Which was not only flattering to Pinkie's prodigious plot, but also the only bit of comedy I could find in this fic, which happened to be gut-bustingly hilarious!

My last critique would be that nobody really grew in this. I don't see how it would fit into the Weedverse. Some ponies were honest with Twilight, Rarity gave her a very on the nose reprimand, and in the end she just gets what she wants with a couple caveats.

Just my two bits.

7978314

I disagree.

There was growth here. Twilight began to realise that dating and her relationships were a bit more complicated than just base friendships, and that there was a lot more involved. Twilight discovered that her budding, developing sexuality added a previous unknown layer of complication to her friendships, not just with those she was starting to see in a romantic sort of way, but her other friends as well, such as Rarity, the witness to everything that happened. In time, Twilight is going to realise that she is going to have to re-evaluate her friendships and things like trust, because of the foundations that were laid in place by this story. Rarity was witness to something very emotional and intimate, not just an embarrassing sleepover incident, but something that laid Twilight bare. This requires an entirely new level of trust and demands growth.

So yes, there was much growth here, and the foundation for future growth.

7978214

That really is one of the most unsettling things about the Weedverse. That it is so close and yet so different than ours. Truthfully, this actually makes me feel more uncomfortable. I don't believe in destiny, personally, but I can accept it in my fiction. If it did exist, I'd probably hate it and act against it as much as I could. Clearly, were I in Twilight's shoes, I would never have ascended to being an alicorn. So the idea that destiny even affects peoples' love lives...kinda makes my skin crawl.

It's not a deal breaker, mind you. As long as the characters remain compelling, I can ignore anything that bothers me, really. I can't really call it a problem with the story, because it's really not. It's simply something that I personally do not find appealing.

7977999
Oh right, the one where Trixie teleported them on, and the train got SHREKT by harpies. Most of been a minor role in that scene.

my question would be when Pinkie first had sex in the party for Dash and the wonder bolts was she saying she had sex with Dash or was it with some other person at the party?

It also seems Pinkie is much happier I hope she finds who she is looking for (and down with Cheese Sandwich other characters are so much better).

7978410

That really is one of the most unsettling things about the Weedverse. That it is so close and yet so different than ours. Truthfully, this actually makes me feel more uncomfortable.

That's what I like about it most. That makes it fantastical enough to be enjoyable while sensible enough to feel realistic.

7977189
Speaking of I wonder how many children Celestia and Gosling have at this point?

In Perilous Romance it was implied that Celestia was in the mood to play fertility goddess and bear an army of foals with Gosling. We have no way of knowing if it actually worked out that way. But assuming it did.

Assume an 11 month equine pregnancy. Also assume a 12 month nursing period. While a mother can become pregnant again almost immediately after giving birth it puts a lot of strain on the body. While Celestia presumably can handle that strain far better than most mothers it doesn't mean doing so is a good idea. My understanding is that for large mammals in general like humans, horses and dogs is that its generally recommended to wait one year after nursing before becoming pregnant again. Let's assume that Celestia's alicorn recuperative abilities let's her healthfully do so in half that. 11 + 12 + 6 = 29 months between conceptions. It was said that Celestia and Luna always give birth to triplets. Assuming she conceived the first time almost immediately after the wedding that means that Celestia has just finished her third pregnancy and is nursing her 6th-9th foals.

Of course if Celestia recuperates even faster than this assumed she could be on her fourth or fifth pregnancy already. Or as noted her plans for foals pre-wedding didn't work out and she only had the one pregnancy.

Evolution of Twilight <3 <3 <3 I'm clearly not alone in my dismay that there aren't more chapters attached to this. I hope that means you're going to flesh it out more in other stories!

Seville is like....

7978758 Gossy and Tia, Lulu being sooky.

A fedora? Seriously? Why? Just...WHY???

7982071

Because, they don't have negative stereotypes about certain articles of clothing and Seville is a reporter. It is a reflection of his job.

In other words, get over it. Your own biases and stereotypes have no bearing here.

“I wonder what your dad would look like in panties,” Pinkie Pie remarked aloud

How to break Twilight Sparkle in 10 words by Pinkie Pie.

7982082 It just seems like such a cliche. I half expected Seville to tip his fedora and say "m'lady" at some point.

7982294

It only seems that way because of your perceptions and what YOU bring with you into the story. Check your headspace and try to get rid of damaging, hurtful stereotypes.

AUGH!

Pink Pronking Polkdadotted Plot!

Can Not Unsee!

Ow.

(Hey, we all have our preferences! This just isn't mine.)
