Until now I'm with Pinkie Pie and say that they are -slighty better prepared and informed, but still not well enough by a long shot with so many lacking informations about the past's events- changelings. Or something else that can shapeshift with the help of magic or otherwise. But Changeling is until now the biggest call.

so in Chapter 1, when was written at the top about the "mourning for the lost friend"... hm I have the feeling the "changeling Pinkie" will try to save the captured Ponies and die in progress. She literally knows everything like the real Pinkie -memories and the connected feelings for everyone- and feels now the same obligation for them as their "best friend".
Well, that's just my guess.
