Or rather, I agreed with Xepher's larger critique that the original version's ending lacked oomph. What came out here was sort of an exercise in following the comedy to its (ill?)logical conclusion, albeit at the cost of hitting my typical vaguely-family-friendly-ish sort of target.

Dating your past self from a parallel universe in the future that already happened? Future dates scheduled for the past holds some intriguing possibilities: Nothing happens there that already hasn't, so you're good unless you were screwed (both literally and metaphorically)! Plus, since all future dates are now at one point in time, you no longer have to worry about your partner being a cheating, clingy psycho, because everything's already happened...unless it didn't because you thought it did which caused it not to so it ended up not happening because it actually did.
