Twilight was an average unicorn filly who wanted to see the world and make friends, one night, she met an odd stallion in a magical blue box, who returned to her peaceful life years later, now Twilight and The Doctor travel through time and space, saving worlds from evil and destruction.

What shall happen between them? Will they truly be able to save the universe? Only one way to find out, dear reader.

[Rated Teen for mild violence and the occasional "hell" or "damn" or any substitutes]
[AU where Twilight didn't become an alicorn, I thought that'd make her a bit OP, sorry]

nooooooo why no alicorn you could limit her in other ways

Everyone knows Flash Gordon is the savior of the universe. Queen even wrote a song about him

also dont you dare do a weeping angle episode those things creep me the fuck out

7849216 Okay then, I'm not even sure how to do a good Weeping Angel story, so don't expect one any time soon.

OK, thats it. I finally have enough now that you bring magical attacks in. I think you want Twilight to be close to the companions the Doctor has traveled with before, but she's not. She is a magical unicorn with a lot of magic to swing around, so WHY IS SHE NOT USING IT?!? Can't she use it because of reasons, or is this a universe where unicorns don't have the magic we're used to? I would really like an explanation of some sort, because in my opinion Twilight isn't this "useless".

7850804 Breaking news: I'm a bad writer, on other news, water is wet.

There are two explanations, a technical and an in-universe. Technical: I didn't think it through and couldn't quite write it in such a way that it didn't seem like "sonic screwdriver 2.0", just a tool to fix any crud going on. In-Universe: Twilight was scared that her magic wouldn't work on these aliens, so she preferred not to use it. Bonus Explanation: I'm stupid and can't write to save my life.
That helps in absolutely nothing, I know, but it must be better than me sitting there and acting as if it explains itself. As a certified moron with no experience with writing, I feel that "Character development" is a synonym to "Making a character useful at the last minute and then make them leave" and the worst part is that I'm aware that it's wrong.

Any tips on how I should write any future companions? Thanks in advance, hope you didn't mind that paragraph of me calling myself an awful fanfic writer.

Also, I'll spoil that Twilight starts using her magic against the enemies in the next chapter/episode, and we're close to the end of this series, just to hammer in that I suck at this. Sorry for that very long reply.

Okay, so here we go again on what to never do in Doctor Who. (Hey that rhymed)

So first things first. The most important thing the Doctor will never in a thousand years do, is using a gun! He made a promise, as you actually acknowledged. But it is so much more than just a simple promise. It may as well be a bloodoath for how serious it is for him. He swore off guns, its even in his title. The only one who ever broke the promise was the War Doctor. The one he doesn't want to remember. So this is an absolut nogo. He would never go against his believes no matter how dire the situation may be.

Now to a less severe, but still frowned upon subject in the series. Probably the favorite word of the series:

The thing with the Twilights. In my opinion it would have been better if she answered his question with "spoilers" and just got him where he needs to be without telling him too much. Also he wouldn't really ask too deeply into it, since he should know the importance of spoilers. Heck, he didn't even know where his tomb is, until he was forced to visit.

Okay, I think that's enough venting for this chapter. It is also only my own opinion on how I see things. As for your question about companions: That depends alot on who it will be in this universe and whether or not there are parallels to companions in the series, like how I see Twilight in the role of Amy Pond. Until the next episode.

7855346 1. Fair enough, I iz a stupid and forgot about that, but it's just in chapter 11 that he directly uses one himself, it gets slightly better in the next (and final) two episodes, but I won't spoil everything, heck, if you know New Who from the start to the now, you probably already figured out the big twist here and I did a bad job at hiding it all

2. I don't quite understand the "spoilers" part, you refer to Twilight as a male and mention something about The Doctor's tomb, which wasn't brought up here, where I think you're coming from is the quick reference to Trenzalore, but, you know, spoilers

3. I won't spoil any other companions that will be here, so I guess you can't help there, too bad for me, I think
