Let me explain: Celestia was aware that the other changelings regarded Shadow as one of their own. She sends him to Equestria to get him away from the negative element and bring some peace to Palomoono by putting some Fear into the others. It's a win-win.

It's the end of Book 2. For some reason, I liked An Equestrian Nightmare's ending so much that I couldn't bring myself to add an Epilogue.

Yep. My first fanfic is finally done!
And yes, there will be a second... eventually. I await Season 3 for additional inspiration.
As for the next protagonist... yeah, Foresight's a bit too weird to be the next protagonist (though he'll still be in my next fic), and Hunter's moved on to better things, so he won't do. I'll just create another changeling OC, since a new changeling means a chance for a recap of all the stuff outlined in this fic... so new readers won't have to even touch this before going into my second fic.

Foresight confuses me... Why did masquerade trust him to heal hunter so quickly after the battle they had anyway? Why did masquerade scream when he went back to the moon in fire? Will masquerade be a side character if there is a new oc, or will the new story be in the future where ponies assume masquerade was a fictional character because of his books label? Also, foresight's weird!

Let's see what I can do here...
First of all, yes... Foresight is very weird. Even Midnight feels like the guy's crazy, and he thought he was just another Lunar changeling! But Midnight had to trust him to save Hunter's life... seeing his friend fall sapped all the anger out of him, and he believed for a moment that he was the only one who could heal him, and Foresight surprised him with his knowledge of healing spells.
Midnight used a powerful teleportation spell to get to the Moon, but disguised it as suicide so that no one tries to follow him. Cut all ties and start over! Just like it should have been. Midnight should return in some form in my next fic. He'll make a brief appearance at least once, that's all I can promise you since I've only just started and am not totally sure of where it's going to go.
