Im sure the author has a good reason for Maka and Kid becoming ponies as well as Soul Liz and Patty.

If you want to hear a theory then i will say it probably has to do with the fact that those three are weapons.

Maka's a weapon too, though she's kept it suppressed most of her life (Due to her issues with her father).  Though it could certainly be interesting if she needed to turn human again and could only do it by temporarily getting over her daddy issues to awaken her weapon blood again.  As for Kid ... he's the son of Death so the only justification for him getting ponified would be if Equestria had it's own Pony reaper who he's unknowingly mimicking the form of.

But not witches. Sorry. But I do find this fact that Medusa has a secret brother very interesting.... In fact I was always convinced that this once bitch in the book series I read could actually be Medusa's sister... Considering how much they have in common.

Is it wrong to think that Death now remind me of a mixture of a more (pardon the future pun) dead serious version of a un-holy combination of a less powerful Pinkie Pie and Discord? Hehehehehe....

Also... YAY FOR PONIFIED MIESTERS!!!! But I seriously thought that Kid would've been an Alicorn and Maka a unicorn... Seeing as how Kid's practically a demi-god and Maka has the whole "seeing souls" and that small amount of weapon blood in her, and basically used her own soul wave-length to become insane to bring someone as messed up as Crona back to sanity(somewhat).
