This is a very funny story. I love the interactions amongst all of them, and the ending was gold. Though I'm kinda split on Luna going with her or staying behind and smugly stating how the whole kingdom is now hers due to Celestia's meddling.
You did seem to miss one mechanical aspect of it, though; the flashing cutiemarks on their flanks once the mission is complete. That's a thing that's been established to happen once a mission is a solid success. It could lead to a different debate in the RD/Pinkie case, where it's mentioned they start flashing during the afterglow and Twi or Spike suggest it's maybe because the "friendship" problem the map sent them there to find was resolved by whomever was having the problem on their own and RD/Pinkie were no longer needed or such. It would give a good clue to Twilight for when the same thing happened with Rarity and AJ. The only other rationalization I can see right now is their marks don't flash at the beginning or end of the mission and the symbols on the map are purely there because of Celestia's hijacking of it, but that should be something noticed by Twi as well.
I did love the rest of the story, but it's just such a large component of how the Map works it stuck out for me.
