The only trouble I'm having is believing that Equestria had such drugs to begin with and actually survived. If you think about how Unicorns have access to magic, Pegasai can fly, and Earth Ponies have massive strength, and then you throw drugs into the mix, you'd think they'd all have gotten themselves killed by now.

Only the nobility would be able to afford them, the very few at the top that can actually afford such things (times were harder back then). Yea so Celestia did hit rock bottom and stayed there for quite a while, but Luna did eventually manage to destroy all drug production and force her sister to go cold turkey, the result was that she was universally hated and scorned while her sister was loved. This lead to nightmare moon lol.
But human society could survive it so I'm sure they could too. Thanks for commenting.
