Pretty good concept, let's see how it is executed

I had a similar idea which was a self-insert (I play drums though) but I never got around to writing it. I'm curious as to how this will go for the keyboard player

>>827831827831 In that case, you should totally do a song or two from Dream Theater's Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Amazing album for both keys and vocals. Plus, it's essentially a 42 minute 8 part epic about 6 people with mental disorders. Your character could use one of these songs as an expression of himself. Judging by your character's actions, I'd check out any of these songs from that album to fit his character:

I'm still liking the story. And now that you've confirmed the disorder of your character, I thought of another song you could put in your fic. It's called Solitary Shell, and it's about a person with Aspergers. For someone with high-functioning autism, myself included, I find the song incredibly powerful; I still can't listen to it without getting at least one tear in my eye. Here's the song if you want to take a listen.

Also if you're interested, I heard this song for the first time when they performed it live a couple of weeks ago; I thought you might like it.

I myself have Asperger's Syndrome, but not quite as severe as your character here. Of course, there's bipolarity, manic depression, and schizophrenia, so it balances out... Anyways, I think I've found the perfect story for me. You rock. Literally. Not like a rock made of stone, I mean the kind of rock that's a compliment, both musically and in general.

Editing far above the average for Fanfic + Pony Drama + awesome music + relatable non-Mary-Sue (er, Gary Stu, as he's a guy) human character = If this story were a woman, I would make love to it. But way less creepy. Am I talking too much? I'll shut up now...

Sorry, I have this in my Favorites List, not my Read Later List. And there's over 100 unread chapters from various multi-chapter stories that I have yet to complete, and I've only just today started going through the list. And I found this, so, I read it.

Good chapter though. I'm not much for HiE shipfics with Fluttershy (that is what's happening, correct?), not because of humanXpony, but because of Fluttershy's character. Depending on how you execute it, this could become an exception, but I'll have to see.

Oh boy, you're really going to hate me. I never actually watched more than two episodes of Hey Arnold. I saw one normal episode, and the Halloween episode, but that was when I was way younger. I never watched Nickelodeon because my mom said it was stupid. No Spongebob, no Ren and Stimpy, no Rocket Power, no Hey Arnold, nothing. She also said I couldn't watch Sailor Moon. Or South Park. Or Beavis and Butthead. Or Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Or That 70's Show. And I didn't watch Full House because I didn't trust TV shows that weren't cartoons. So I would always watch Blue's Clues, Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Rugrats, and Toy Story (watched that movie every day). It was only when I got older that I got more leeway with the TV. I started watching all those shows I hadn't used to be allowed to watch. That was short-lived when I had more than one sister. Then I was forced to watch Disney programming (which, in hindsight, wasn't THAT bad: Hannah Montana may have been gimmicky (reusing the same jokes all the time) and relied heavily on hillbillyisms and Cyrus' crappy pop music, but that was a pretty decent show for the first few seasons with morals without being preachy, family moments that weren't sappy, a couple jokes that weren't forced, a pretty good ship, and country artist guest stars back when country didn't suck. Everything else on that channel was unforgivably bad). But that passed. The sister who forced me to watch all the Disney outgrew it (THANK. GOD.) and instead forced me to watch a different show, and that show was Avatar the Last Airbender, which was and will always be the greatest show of all time (what got me into fanfiction). Then I started watching Full House (can't believe what I was missing all those years), Twilight Zone, That 70's Show, Malcolm in the Middle, Justified, Breaking Bad, several dozen animes, and eventually, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. And I plan on starting Firefly and Doctor Who, and getting into Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Meh I don't mind. I've had people telling me I was wrong about it since day one. lol I like it because the romance is cute, the characters are developed, the story is dark but still appeals to kids, the supporting characters are wacky and well thought out, the problems they get into are always fun to watch, and the relationships with their families are pretty darn realistic. I've just always been a fan and will be no matter what.

But I rly find it interesting that you had a different TV childhood than I did. when I was growing up, I wouldn't have touched hanna montanna with a ten foot pole. Nor avatar. there was something about it that just made me not able to get into it. I do love toph though. She's so adorable!

I am personally rather insulted by the way you are portraying Aspergers Syndrome as being a "condition" which is completely debilitating.  I've got it and while I'll never win any awards for social skills, I'm doing really damned well for myself(junior in college as of right now), oh and folks with Asperger's, from both research done and through my own experience with it, are not actually emotionless or lack empathy but rather experience emotions to a much higher degree than others to the point that coping mechanisms used by most people will not work and such.

of course that won't stop me from favoriting this so that I can see where it is going

I'm not writing about ALL people who have it, I'm writing about this guy's personal struggles with it. I've also hinted throughout the story that no one really tried to help him out with it at all which just added to his antisocial  tendencies. So while I apologize for insulting you, I hope this maybe clarifies a few things about the story for you.
