    FlyingKitsune's Stories (2)

The year is 2025, most of humanity has lost and relocated to enclaves around the continents to prepare for war.  Airships are now a common method of transportation along for waging war.

In this new world, privateers are the new heroes as they take up their personalized airships to attack the Equestrian Sky Fleet and colonies on former countries of the Earth. These are their stories, of brave men and women risking it all to free the lands that are colonized by Equestria.

This story was inspired by the many Conversion Bureau stories and pays tribute to one of my favorite animes: Last Exile.

I can appreciate enthusiastic writing. You probably know this isn't a masterpiece you've begun, but if you have fun writing it: why not write?

A piece of advice though: put a space after each ellipsis. Like... this and not...this.

Fucking awesome! Your writing style matches the swashbuckling fiction that romanticizes the pirates from the Age of Sail. Except your story is more realistic; pirates are not nice people.

On a side note, will we see ponies allied to Humans?

By that, I mean you evoke the image of pirates and the other heroes of the romanticized Age of Sail (like Horatio Hornblower, Temeraire, etc.)

Though technically a swashbuckler is defined as a boastful swordsman. Great, now I'm imagining the pirates wielding lightsabers instead of cutlasses! :rainbowlaugh:

Wow! Adrenaline running from that air battle. And man, Nikolaos Drakonakos is one badass motherfucker. And the crew of the Chimera, man, they are hardcore.

So there are ponies allied to Humanity? Can't wait to see what Princess Cadence is up to...

And will we get to see more "proud warrior races" opening up cans of whoopass on the ponies? Imagine Nepalese Ghurka troops or Afghani Pashtuns or Scottish Highlanders or modern Celts battling the ponies!

On a side note, little grammatical errors here and there but nothing to serious. Oh in the list of countries, Germany was listed twice.

When your captain is a Maniot Greek or a Cretan Greek, you accept their concept of a vendetta and you stick with it. The crew of the Chimera is fueled by revenge, which makes them hardcore amongst the privateers, screw profit when the skies are your playground of revenge and destruction. Who wouldn't want that?

Yes, many ponies are allied to the humans, even a certain minty Unicorn. And Cadence, you'll have to see.

You'll see all those proud warrior races full of piss and vinegar. You saw the Cossacks, you'll see many more.

Whoops, it should of been Austria. I'll go fix that quick, thanks for reminding me.

Don't worry about a repeat of the Katyn Forest Massacre, it'll never happen, never will.

Considering that there's a lot of former Warsaw Pact equipment collecting dust in Polish military bases and warehouses, it'll be put into good use after the fall of the Soviet Union and the Pact.

Holy shit! Celestia's gone completely crazy. She's in it deep this time with four species - Humans, Diamond Dogs, some Equestrians and Gryphons - who all want her dead.

If you ask me, this is one of the most evil depictions of TCB Celestia I've ever seen - and I love it!

As for the Yucatanese ships, am I right in saying that they are crewed by a mix of Celestians (Celestia loyal Equestrians) and traitorious Humans?

Nice to see the Wonderbolts and their crew as guns for hire. I wonder if we'll see them working on the opposite side?

On a side note, your grammar is slipping a bit in the first few paragraphs. And there's a few moments where you didn't italicize the names of the ships.

Why do you love my depiction of Celestia? Is it because she claims the world to be hers? Or the fact she can strip the Diamond Dogs and Gryphons of the gift of the airship? Or because she crucified a privateer making a mockery of the man's beliefs?

Yucatanese Air Fleet vessels are manned by Celestians, Newfoals, and the Yucatanese populace. There is of course, a Foreign Fleet which is commanded by traitorous humans.

Not to spoil a lot: The Wonderbolts are currently wanted for betraying Equestria and hijacking the vessel they operate.

The Cairo Raid was intentional, seems I missed a lot since I stayed up writing and posting this story.

Not exactly like Nightmare Moon, the words recited by Grozny are the ancient words to weaponize the sun and moon. In my headcanon, if the Elements of Harmony fail, then the Poem of the Sun or the Poem of the Moon are recited, it can have a lot of effects on the land. They are mostly used to intimidate the other nations or to supress any war that might reach Equestria. Cadence gave Grozny the ancient poems, knowing that his capture was imminent and needed to get away.
