The idea of combining two great things such as this is perfect.

Ponies and Iron Giant (with a hint of HL2).

While I want this to be accurate to the movie, I don't want to re-see the Giant fly up and blow into tons of bits of himself.

Oh buck... the movie that pretty much defined my childhood (I actually watched a 24 hour marathon of it as a kid, nonstop) combined with the show that cured my depression... I'm currently reading and writing other stories at the moment, but sir, I love you, and I'm adding this to my plethora of read later stories.

All kidding aside (OR WAS I?), this is easily one of the better concepts I've seen on this site, combining a cult classic I watched before I even knew what the internet was (and what 95 percent of what comprised it was even called) with an unbelieveably popular kids show my sandbox buddies would laugh at me for liking now.

Now I just have to actually READ it and see if the execution can match the grandness of the premise.

Hey now, having spoken to Faust myself about Quest for Camelot, there was A LOT of stuff that was cut that deteriorated the quality until it was nothing more than a shell of the original film that Faust and the crew had made.  Not mad, but having personally heard it from Faust, there was A LOT of behind the scenes problems that not many people know about...

Either way, I love the constant homages you throw in here.  Not only that, but the element of originality in here is also great!  The ponies react in ways that would perfectly suit their personalities in the show, and the plot is original while also retaining elements from the film.  It's a great execution of a crossover, for sure!
