Cadance gets Slaanesh. Love vs Lust.
Luna gets Khorne, being that they're both hot blooded and loud.
Twilight gets Tzeentch because both are intelligent and changing.
By process of elimination, that leaves Celestia and Nurgle.
The thought of her being a disease ridden slob is darkly humorous.

This can only end hilariously, so I should be in favour. Having said that, if this plan works then chaos might actually win, and as a loyal Imperial Guard commander I'm against that.
Oh, to the warp with it. It'll be too funny to pass up, and the Emperor will protect us anyway. The Emperor and a large amount of artillery.

I've heard that Nurgle is all about love, just his love is as bloated and corrupt as he is now. Slaanesh is more extremes in passion. Passion being not just lust, but pain, pleasure, and everything inbetween. A full on hedonist.
So it could be argued that Nurgle could go to the loving Cadance, and the wild and uninhibited Slaanesh to Celestia. In the end though, I have to agree with your choices. Which worries me because Celestia and Nurgle could be enablers to each other. Both like to sit back and passively allow their plans to slowly come to fruition, both adhere to a set cycle, day and night, rebirth and death. Both are elders that act as a loving grandfather/mother to their followers. Though I suppose Celestia is more sunshine and vitality to Nurgles rot and decay. But they seem to have such similar personalities beyond that that I'm worried that they'll only encourage each others poor habits rather than correct them.

The are apparently bonding with their opposite number, so I'd expect Twilight and Khorne along with Cadance and Tzeentch. Not sure about the others. Or maybe Tzeentch and Celestia, they are both planners just with wildly different goals.

Well since we're going with antithesis:
Sloth, long planning, and slob Nurgle for the action mare and OCD organized Twilight Sparkle
Rage and burn Khorne for loving Cadance
Schemer Tzeentch for the head strong and blunt Luna
And Slaanesh's extreme emotional mood swings and over indulgence for the calm and matronly Celestia
Hm, it'd be hard to pinpoint exactly what their antithesis would be. Since many of them would have aspects which would be considered opposite.
If you look at Twilight, Slaanesh, Khorne, Tzeentch, and Nurgle could be considered her opposite. Slanesh is focused on the pleasures of sensation and experiences of both living and nonliving stimuli that reality has to offer ever since she/he/it got murderfucked into existence. Something Twilight often lacks, using more logic and simple pleasures instead of impulse and indulgence. Khorne can be represented by survival of the fittest as well as honor. So while Twilight is willing to make friends and talk over heir differences, Khorne prefers to let his weapons and fists do the talking. Tzeentch, while in a way similar to Twilight, is also opposite in which he embraces change and it's ever growing complexity, something Twilight tries to maintain order and in some semblance of control. Nurgle, while a god of stagnancy as well as various other titles, would seem similar to Twilight in keeping the status quo, can also been seen as taking the status quo too far. Nothing getting done and thigns falling into decay and disrepair. Thus another way to see as opposite. At the same time, there are various ways the gods could be with the other princesses instead.
This can be seen with the other three princesses as well. So while we could say one god is more opposite than the other, we don't know the theme which would bind them. It could go in many ways and they would technically be the right answer. Cadence with love could be more likely paired with Khorne or Slaanesh since they can represent Rage and Lust respectively. Tzeentch could be paired as well with using logic instead of feelings. Nurgle as well, showing love can be corrupted into something beyond normal means.
So ultimately, we'll have to wait and see who is paired up with who.

My pick is Celestia/Slaanesh (loosen up a little/care for your subjects) = Molestia, isn't it?
Twilight/Nurgle (no need to be neat, so long as it works/proper organization and some action to keep things from devolving completely)
Cadance/Khorne (sometimes you need to crack some skulls/some foes are best bested with valor - and good defenses)
Luna/Tzeench (control your emotions a bit to gain true power/keep your ideals and dreams to put your shemes into a positive direction)
This story is hilariously terrible idea and that can only go wrong in the best of ways. I love it already.

7527296 Actually, Malal is in fact canon. He is the avatar of Anarchy and Terror, and is actually parasitic in nature, growing stronger only as the other Chaos Gods do. He very, VERY rarely made any appearances due to being from a very early version of Warhammer.
When I came out the prologue was like wow !, interesting but now with chapter one, It was pretty funny! You do not know how I laughed. Excellent chapter, I'll be waiting many more.

Only played the dawn of war games and was only moderately into them. However, this interpretation of the chaos gods got me interested in more of the lore. Faves and liked.
I've gotta say, of the four of them, I think Luna is the most likely to cause problems. Tzeentch probably already has a few dozen plans to twist this further to his advantage than it should.
Celestia has a lot of experience dealing with nobles and politicians, who regularly cause bouts of murderous rage in others.
Twilight just needs to make sure the plagues stay in check.
And Cadance will just end up massively embarrassed.

this is awesome. watching Discord as Malal aide chaos, when malal use to go against the 4, instead helping greater universal balance... this is wonderful. i REALLY want to see Nurgle's interactions specficially, but this should be fun all over the place!
Im familiar with when the chaos gods use to represent ALL aspects of their fields, not just a piece of it. chaos is everything!
