Talon and Thorn

T

When Ponyville school is given money to set up their own band it look like it will be good business for Medley but when a pair of flamboyant stallions turn up in town offering cheaper instruments Bluenote and Cheerilee have a hard decision to make.

A story in three movements.

Part of the Cadenceverse

Medley... open mouth, insert hoof...

I have no clue what a Cadenceverse is, but if it involves Flim and Flam, then I'll be there.

Or so I think. I just know that in the AU's equivalent to "Friendship Is Magic - Parts 1 & 2" Octavia and co. encounter a golem that they initially mistake for Cadænce since they didn't know she was one herself.

Yes there was a prototype Cadence in the castle, there might be more out there somewhere.

Oh, and Octavia is technically playing Twilight's role as the Princess' student, and Lyra is her Spike, with Bon Bon naturally being the Rarity.

I'd say Page Turner was the Spike in the setting, although she left in a huff about half way through the first story. Although yes the Lyra / Bon Bon relationship is a little Spike / Rarity.

¡ActionPacked! ¡This is good!

… it looks…

1 of the problems with Friendshipgames is that we did not get to know any of the Shadowcolts.

Crystalprep does not realize the Danger the Dazzlings pose, because they are really Sirens. Hopefully, they will not eat the students.

"Third Movement - Part Two - Ponyville School Band

So now, "Equestria The Land I Love" is the national anthem of this Equestria and is thousands of years old. In the ManVerse, Rara wrote it someteen years ago. It is strange how these separate universes, magically tied together exhibit theme and variation:

If nothing would tie them together, they would diverge, but magic forces them to converge. The interaction makes a symphonic multiverse with each universe being like a separate instrument in a symphony during a concert.

I hope that somepony exposes the Dazzlings as pony-eating monsters set on world-domination before it is too late. Some could probably make a season-long story-arc of their machination, ending with a showdown between them and the Elements of Harmony.

¡The horseapples just got real!

You are welcome, but you still have the "it look" in the description of the story.

Sorry forgot about that. I've fixed it now, luckily I had 2 whole characters left before I used up all the space in the description.

> " … it look like…"

It did not take. I know that you have a wordlimit, but the passive voice bugs me. It should be:

> "When The Equestrian Government gives Ponyville-School money for setting up its own band, it looks like it will be good business for Medley, but when a pair of flamboyant stallions turn up in town offering cheaper instruments, Bluenote and Cheerilee have a hard decision to make."

I figured out a way to write the description which is even shorter than your way which uses the active voice:

> "When Ponyville-School gets money to set up its own band it looks like it will be good business for Medley but when a pair of flamboyant stallions turn up in town offering cheaper instruments Bluenote and Cheerilee have a hard decision to make."

The voice is active, it is short and it fixes the "it look like" to "it looks like. You can just copy and past my correction into the description-field. In order to get it to fit, both the original version and the corrected version have to omit commas, but one cannot have everything.

I just KNEW it was a matter of time before we had a Music Man spin in this universe!:raritystarry:

Hopefully, they will not eat the students.

They can eat Cinch... no one will mind.

Certainly nopony would mind, but she would give the Dazzlings an huge stomachache.

Makes sense they're doing musical instruments here. :D

Very nice action. :) I hope those jackasses get theirs in the end!

Definitely not mangled.

I'm gonna be honest, as if I could be anything else. ;) I side with Medley, here. Bluenote kinda screwed her over completely here.

Ah, Cinch. Maybe one day I'll see Friendship Games. :p

“Look, it-it wasn’t like that,” muttered Medley tentatively patting Bluenote on the back, “they were very convincing.”

No... it kinda was like that. :p

And holy crap, the Sirens.

Ooh. Should've figured on Nemesis showing up.

Great story, Talon.
