I hope Dusk's plan will work. In fact, I think it'd be a shame to stop after only ten years. Dusk should see if there's a way to make Gleaming's lifespan as long as his. Imagine how many children they would have after a few thousand years...

7441262 If that happened, and Dusk actually managed to keep Gleaming pregnant every year, even at only one child per pregnancy, that would mean they would literally have a thousand children. If they were normal ponies, then there would be children the same time there were great-plus grandchildren. However, if they were alicorns, then there would be an entire population of powerful immortals that were directly related to them, not even including if said alicorns went on to have children of their own.
Eh. Incest is stigmatized in the real world because having children with family members has a higher chance of expressing debilitating genetic defects. Also, the majority of people tend to find the people they grow up with/around sexually repulsive (there's a name for it but it escapes me atm) so that becomes the default social norm. It kinda makes sense that in a world of magical ponies who seem to have relatively few genetic defects (or even magic to get rid of them), that it would just be seen as "odd," from a purely social standpoint.
And also, speaking of pure bloodlines, older human royalty used to marry off to their siblings and cousins for exactly that reason. It actually makes a kind of sense that Celestia, genuinely ancient royalty, would subscribe to that mentality. Celestia and Luna of all ponies would probably understand and even want Gleaming to bear her brother's babies.
I want to see how it all started. Prequel!

Even here, the two clop chapters are buffered by non-clop short bits with some gags and comedy. Possibly more in the future, but that's not a guarantee (I have a lot of pairings I'd love to write, and genderbent Shining Sparkle is just one of many).
