I think Canterlot is many times bigger. We mustn't forget we saw only Canterlot castle. We never saw the city. And from what Rarity was doing during her time in Canterlot, it must be pretty big city. And Manehatten Is even bigger than Canterlot.
I don't think Rainbow would like it there.
Twilight can do more than that.
@jaroslav: I appreciate your comments. They are quite helpful. Of course I may have slipped up in many things, from Canterlot's grandeur and Rainbow's personality. But as this is not one hundred percent canon, some changes can be done. As for Twilight's magic, I was implying what she had learned, not her magic in general.
