First, it's called a Prologue.

Two, his attempted suicide and feeling useless seem shoehorned in as a cheap way to get him sympathy. If you're gonna have him dark and conflicted, give us some real reasons instead of just informing us. Perhaps he failed one too many times, or he lost someone he really cared about, or he was getting sick of the bloodshed and is too kind for his own good. Don't just say he wants to kill himself and is depressed - it's not deep, it's not compelling, it's just bad characterization.

I think you should of gone a bit slow there, don't start at level 7. Starting at level one is why I enjoyed FoE and FoE Project Horizons, and the reactions from the mane 6 could of been better. I hope you're able to improve as a writer. I do think this story has potential, but I think you could do a few revisions. Everything is just rushed. I barely know anything about Dust. I hope this helps you.

Aw, man. I'd been wondering why the conclusion had been delayed, but didn't for a moment think it might be something like that. Sorry to hear it, please feel no pressure from me to rush back into anything.

BTW, something seems to have gone glitchy with this most recent chapter, despite a 2200+ word count it's only got two short paragraphs and ends with "â" (a symptom of some of the other general glitchiness I saw during the Great FiMFiction Upgrade). All the other stories that I saw with this glitch recovered on their own but this one hasn't yet. Figured I'd mention.
